Samsung B-die is good for tight timings up to about DDR4 4000, and since Vermeer craps out past about 3733MT/s or so, it's very good for those because it can run 3733 14-14-14, but it does tend to be more expensive. Micron E on the other hand is a bit better for higher speed looser timings, up...
Eh it's monolithic Cezanne, disabled igpu. L3 is lower but hell it's still 16mb like previous Ryzen and Ryzen+ and no one complained about those. Cezanne can clock DDR4 to the sky at 1:1 so some tasks will be slower but some faster. These also don't run as hot as Vermeer. I think the price will...
Yes that's how you do it. Now remember the contest starts on February 23rd at 00:00 UTC, but in North America that's the evening of the 22nd. Hope to see some of you all.
yes let me make a screenshot to show you
Be sure to SAVE, then give it a few seconds while it says SAVING, then open it back up and verify that it took your flag.
I know there was a misunderstanding of the rules, that during the 4 days you got to fold with team 239902, as well as register at EHW and post in our thread. Luckily you don't actually have to change all your clients over if you don't want to do that. The minimum is just one piece of hardware...
I actually do have a separate PC that folds 24/7, and yes I would definitely change that one to Linux. The GPUs that fold on that one are pretty old, and I figured I might as well run them into the ground with folding, but they haven't died after 3 years straight of heavily overclocked folding...
Will do. I have installed Ubuntu before. Is there a preferred distro to run for just folding? I would put it on a separate drive to boot when I'm doing that.
Good so it's probably something to do with the Microsoft Windows version of the client.
I honestly don't really care about the points. I've had some family members with cancers so I guess I just like to donate it because it's there.
I am really bad with software, especially Linux but if...
Hello
Is anyone out there folding on this? There's some sort of bug that if you fold on both CCDs it will eventually freeze up or crash. This has been documented and tested, but the only solution so far is to use something like Process Lasso to just fold on 8c/16t on one side and it can fold...
Hi. Thanks @Skillz for directing me to post this here:
We're having our second annual Folding@Home Challenge at EXTREMEHW and TAAT is invited.
We have some sponsored prizes from vendors, as well as some in-house goodies. Similar to last year, the top 3 folders will get first choice prize picks...
Will do. Just wanted to get some feelers out today since I don't really post here. I think I automatically got a membership here back when I was staff at THW. Your folding team got our attention during the [H]ardforum competition last month, and it just so happens that we're having ours this...
Hello. I'd like to invite the TAAT crunchers to our second annual folding@home challenge at EXTREMEHW starting on February 23rd at 00:00 UTC.

There's some vendor...
Too much bad info in this thread. BD pins are same fit as any AM3 CPU I ever owned. Color of socket does not matter. The only thing that matters is if the vendor updates the BIOS.
I have a white socket MSI 890FXA-GD65 mobo and it runs Bulldozer just fine.
Now if I was in the business of...
