  1. Discussion Zen 5 Speculation (EPYC Turin and Strix Point/Granite Ridge - Ryzen 9000)

People are laughing now, but soon I'm the one who will laugh seeing the tears of disappointment. Zen 5 will be good, yes, but not good enough.
  2. Intel processors crashing Unreal engine games (and others)

Like I commented before, I'm impressed by the lack of (more) reaction from communities. Intel is getting confident that they can get away with no consequences.
  3. Intel processors crashing Unreal engine games (and others)

Maybe I'm thinking too much but... HUB made "a choice" with this video? Tittle says its AMD against ASUS. I thought they had tested only the ASUS board, Gigabyte is coming latter, but no, they already made tests with a Gigabyte, only that they didn't put the Gigabyte results side by side with...
  4. Intel processors crashing Unreal engine games (and others)

Going by r/Intel and r/hardware disturbing silence, Intel won't need to spend much on lawyers.
  5. Discussion RDNA4 + CDNA3 Architectures Thread

Blame RTG/AMD, not him. I'll say it again, Radeon is in the gutter, searching for scraps. It's not Alex fault, or even Jensens's fault.
  6. Intel processors crashing Unreal engine games (and others)

Don't think they cite this explosive Chiphell "finding", but the discussion continues within Hardware Unboxed. They mention the 7800X3D case.
  7. Discussion RDNA4 + CDNA3 Architectures Thread

He probably has his favorites, but I think this bias is a bit unintentional. He likes technology, the became a member exactly for this reason. Companies are giving him access to their tech, giving him the opportunity to talk about and explain how they work, so from his point of view he is just...
  8. Question Speculation: RDNA3 + CDNA2 Architectures Thread

Reading the news, supposedly the Client GPU sales nosedived, but reading Anandtech's Forum I was under the impression that sales were actually increasing, with plenty of praises to cards like RX7800XT. What happened? Radeon seems hopeless.
  9. Intel processors crashing Unreal engine games (and others)

"Damage Control"? What you call what people are writing on r/Intel?
  10. Discussion Intel Meteor, Arrow, Lunar & Panther Lakes Discussion Threads

Isn't it enough for Windows tasks, CoPilot, etc? In theory the NPU may be disappointing, but in practice may give the average user some relevant extra battery time.
  11. Discussion Intel Meteor, Arrow, Lunar & Panther Lakes Discussion Threads

I don't thing this is the only reason. Those two low power isolated cores does make the difference here. At least in light use like this.
  12. Discussion Should MLID be considered a legitimate source

Sorry for the up, but I have to say, I'm a bit curious. MLID went radio silent "when the bomb dropped". I wonder if he got away from the internet for a while and didn't see the other bombs that dropped "to finish the job", because before going quiet he made that tweet acknowledging his...
  13. Discussion Should MLID be considered a legitimate source

What is the tittle of this topic? Why this topic was created? I think this forum got it's answer and I hope to not see this "leaker" being linked or discussed here anymore.
  14. Discussion Should MLID be considered a legitimate source

The human mind is really fascinating and beyond comprehension. I really don't understand...
  15. Discussion Zen 5 Speculation (EPYC Turin and Strix Point/Granite Ridge - Ryzen 9000)

Just what we needed when the hype train was achieving dangerous velocity, a big earthquake. Zen 5 will be delayed a bit, right? TSMC fabs in Taiwan had to stop working.
  16. Discussion Zen 5 Speculation (EPYC Turin and Strix Point/Granite Ridge - Ryzen 9000)

Only if the update includes Lisa jumping on Nvidia's track, because there's no way RDNA4 will get any closer to Nvidia.
  17. Discussion nVidia's ARM SoC Coming Back?

It's related to Nvidia. It'll be funny next year when the games on the "weaker" Switch 2 have better IQ and frame stability than it's "rival" PS5 Pro. There's no way this won't happen, right?
  18. Question AMD Phoenix/Zen 4 APU Speculation and Discussion

But the average clock is lower, so in practice it should perform more like last gen Zen 3, no?
  19. Question AMD Phoenix/Zen 4 APU Speculation and Discussion

Just a simple question, how fast is a Zen 4C? As fast as Zen 2, Zen 3? I was wondering, why AMD still didn't make a custom APU for these Steam Deck "clones" with Zen 4C cores only?
  20. Question Userbenchmark paywalled LMAO!

There's a saying in my country: "every day leaves the house a scoundrel and a fool".
  21. Discussion AMD’s Custom APU Discussion Thread

By the way, now there are some "rumors" that if Microsoft don't exit the console market they'll go with Intel for their next chip. Would be very interesting, we could have an AMD vs Intel vs Nvidia situation.
  22. Discussion Samsung Exynos 2400 SoC

For what reason CPUs on Exynos consume so much more energy?
  23. Discussion Zen 5 Speculation (EPYC Turin and Strix Point/Granite Ridge - Ryzen 9000)

Aaaaah... it begins, the cycle of over expectations and forced disappointment when AMD "betrays the promises".
  24. Question How fast is your browser?

On my Skylake Dual Core Mobile, I tested the Vivaldi Snapshot I was using because of video acceleration, I think it's version 5.8 and the current Stable. Went from 56 to 80, a noticeable diference.
  25. Discussion Leading Edge Foundry Node advances (TSMC, Samsung Foundry, Intel)

GSM Arena teste a Huawei tablet with the Kirin 9000s: https://m.gsmarena.com/huawei_matepad_pro_13_2-review-2644p4.php Good for SMIC for being able to fab a 7nm but "it's not good". Performance is years being, the Huawei cores are only at the level of the Snapdragon 888. SMT helps the multi...
  26. Discussion Tom's Hardware top 5 AMD and Nvidia GPUs

And as always with Nvidia, people complained but kept buying.
  27. Discussion Tom's Hardware top 5 AMD and Nvidia GPUs

People always remember 8800GT but what I remember is that the 8600GT was much more popular.
  28. Classic Intel PR

How Intel explains selling E cores then?
  29. Question AMD Phoenix/Zen 4 APU Speculation and Discussion

It's so frustrating that consumers never have what they want. These APUs with small GPU are a waste. AMD could design one with only C cores giving space on the die to more CUs, but they'll never do this. The APU of dreams will always remain a dream.
  30. Question Raptor Lake - Official Thread

Incredible gains. I wonder if AMD will have the same problems to fix.
  31. Question AMD Phoenix/Zen 4 APU Speculation and Discussion

Why couldn't AMD just make an APU with only C cored and and extra CU? Wouldn't be cheaper, perform "better" (after all, C cores are the "same" cores) and use less energy?
  32. Discussion Future ARM Cortex + Neoverse µArchs Discussion

I'm only a "average user", very ignorant that knows nothing about these things. But after reading Anandtech in the beginning of the 2000's é now seeing CPU with 9-wide decode and 8 ALU... wow 😮
  33. 8GB VRAM not enough (and 10 / 12)

Isn't just "Alex", normal average consumers have the same thinking. I was looking the AW II performance graphics on TechPowerUp and it happened again, I think this is the third time we get to a point where half the Nvidia cards just die for lack of VRAM. Consumers didn't learned the first time...
  34. Question Raptor Lake - Official Thread

What happened? I thought this gen would be the beginning of the end to AMD Zen line, but I was wrong. Almost no improvements, more power consumption, what? I don't get it.
  35. Question Speculation: RDNA3 + CDNA2 Architectures Thread

All wonderful in theory. In practice it delivers last year's performance. I noticed that the official blog post confirming RDNA3 talked about performance, except GPU performance.
