However you are forgetting that Intel also fabs their own chips for the most part, Intel is TSMCs biggest competitor and it would serve TSMC better if AMD won the chip battle if it meant more chips...

Warhol actually makes sense for a higher binned 7nm+ Zen 3 CCD + new generation IOD chiplet on new cheap process.

I think this is more about marketing than anything else, keeping Ryzen fresh in the minds of consumers as the 'newest' desktop cpu's.. Also as others have stated it forces re runs of the benchmarks showing Ryzen is the best all round choice.

Yea I think power and corresponding heat is going to be an issue, I think willow has the frequency potential on anciently mature 14nm as in no hard frequency wall..only power and heat holding it back.

If this is true AMD is going to squeeze Intel's Comet lake hard through greater clocks and price reductions from the get go, Comet has an incredible tough sell if you prioritise general pc performance or productivity, hell even if you game at 1440p/ultra it doesn't make a great deal of sense...
