Well that was a fantastic two-parter. More action than drama, obviously. But this is definitely a new high water mark for the show.
Given the various plots Issac has been used in thus far, there's every indication that Kaylons do just fine in a vacuum.
Well that was an interesting episode. As a strongly character-focused episode it's not the kind of thing I would have expected them to open up the season with, especially following football. But lack of action aside, it's definitely a good overview of who these characters are and what still...
I was doing well from 7 to 8pm. However at 8pm it suddenly ground to a halt. Now I haven't had a soul in an hour and a half. I still have at least two-dozen full-size candy bars left.
Damn kids. When I was their age, we did this from 7 to 10pm in order to get the most candy possible.:p
Yeah, that's Nunez. One of several times now he's been on the ground to make the play. It's funny in action, but the guy is definitely earning his pay tonight.
They've already set the record for the longest post-season game. I think the record in terms of innings is 25 innings, and in clock time it's like 8.5 hours.
When I saw the thread title I went "this has to be a Craig" thread. I have not been disappointed.:p
Anyhow, I concur with the coin whine theory. In my experience, video cards are more likely to whine than the rest of the system. So my suggestion is to try disabling Chrome hardware acceleration...
Bummer about the Rift 2.:( Even taking FB at their word that they'll still release another PC headset, I agree there's no reason now to expect that it will be another high-end, cutting-edge design like the Rift 1 was in 2016.
So who is running the ATOT pool? I don't want to be the only bum here who's still working when the rest of ATOT hits it big.
Safeway's Monopoly is Monopoly in name/licensing only. It's an entirely different game. Pieces are products and you need a large number of them per property. It's complex...
Note that they're measuring damage in dollars. Still, it's rooted in reality. Winds are subject to the laws of kinetic energy, just like anything else moving. So the amount of energy is the velocity squared.:o

I don't know if it would have broken every record. But the fact that it was moving as fast at it did was probably a benefit. It certainly limited how much time the storm had to strengthen, which also keeps the size of the hurricane wind...
Michael is now officially the strongest storm to make landfall since Andrew in 1992. (Katrina, for all she did, was technically only a cat 3 at landfall)
Deep is another way of describing central pressure. The lower the pressure, the deeper a hurricane.
Things you never actually want to see in person: a category 4 hurricane from inside the eyewall.
Michael had a 919mb central pressure when it made landfall. That makes it the third-lowest landing in the history of the US, behind only the Labor Day hurricane and Camille. (Which means it's been...
Is Tallahassee far enough inland to be safe? it seems like you wouldn't get the direct storm surge (which is the worst part), but that's not a lot of distance for the winds to dissipate.:(
Stay safe, Allisolm.
Right? It really blew up. The NHC only started issuing advisories on the system 84...
Well that's the question, isn't it? It's a standalone VR headset with an ARM SoC. So does it use the Go's store, or is Oculus going to have to run a third store just for the Quest?
I'm surprised to see that this thread was resurrected.
At any rate, I was unable to find a true mixer that fit the bill. The losses with unpowered mixers are just too great.
So instead I went with a simple switch: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073GWCRP3 It has a nice, visceral click to it.:D
I know it's mean-spirited, but man if I'm not enjoying the current drop in altcoin prices. Ethereum is $171 and still dropping. You'll make a whole $5/month in profit using an RX 580 to mine it.:D
Our long, nerdy nightmare has finally come to an end.
It was resolved at the end of season 1. It's not going to be extended into season 2. (Not that it was handled well to begin with).
Not Kirk. Pike! :D
Yes, it is a regional thing. Due to the split broadcast rights, CBS has the trailer rights for North America, and then Netflix has them for the...
This week on Sci-Fi Friday: Try The Sexers!
Killjoys S04E01: I honestly don't have a ton to say about this episode, and that's because it kind of threw me for a loop. After the cliffhanger that was the season 3 finale, I was expecting the show to hit the ground running here, as it has in past...
