CS:Go - the online casino?

I haven't played CS since they change the name to CS: Go. I thought lootboxes sucked, but I had no idea how bad it could get. These 2 videos are pretty eye opening.

I have lost all respect for Valve. I am using GoG as much as I can from now on.

Yeah but they handle about 75% of the customer relation side, from refunds, on site Ads, to transactions, to distribution.
Servers are not cheap, neither is the multipul enterprise class fiber bandwidth to dish out to its customers.

When was the last time you even heard of Steam getting hacked, or them leaking your payment info?

And I think by far Apple and google play are far far worse then Steam.

Why do bots only necro old threads? Is there some sort of programming that makes them only comment on threads that haven't been active in a long time?
