I about to build a new rig. I'm a bit out of the loop about the new hardware.

The new Rig will be based on AMD 7900X + B650E motherboard. Officially supported speed by this CPU is 2x1R DDR5-5200.

The problem is I can't find every ram I need on the online shops. Corsair Vengeance 64 GB (2x32) 6000 MHz DDR5 CL40 is in stock. But I don't want to overclock the memory controller, I'm only going to use it with the officially supported speeds.
I can't find any information. Does anyone know if this memory kit has built-in Expo profile for 5200mhz ?

Try to get ram thats listed in the website motherboard QVL (officially listed as compatible). Even better if you get a matched pair since they are supposed to work together although I don't think its important although I could be wrong.
PC5200 is the conservative speed that guaranteed to work, you could run your PC6000 ram slower by adjusting it in the bios.

Not sure what memory testing utilities are good since its been a while since Ive used those.

Thank your for the replies.

But do you set the timing parameters manually yourself or does the memory builtin XMP profiles -that are guaranteed to work - for those speeds?

Just set the XMP profile 2(typical) in the bios and that should be it and just check the speed is shown as 6000 in the bios.

I need a Ram that has xmp profile for 5200mhz, not 6000. Thats the problem. The only ram I could find is that this Corsair 6000mhz. I cant find if it has profile for 5200mhz.
I found a Gskill 6000mhz but it only has profile for 4800mhz other than the 6000mhz.

Technically even 5200MHz is an overclock. The reason you don't see a lot of kits for 5200 is because all of the evidence has shown that 6000 is the sweet spot for Zen4. There is no reason that the 7600X shouldn't be able to handle it. My daughter's 7600X runs 6000 CL30 without any issues. My 7700 also does. I've had it run at 6200 too but didn't see any performance gains so I dropped back to 6000. Look at the performance difference seen here in gaming with various RAM speeds and CAS latency.

While 5200 does show some performance increase 6000 with lower CAS latency really should be your target.

But if you still decide to run at 5200 you can turn on the XMP/EXPO profile to load the parameters and then you can manually set the speed to 5200 in the BIOS. Only takes a few seconds.

Do you need 64GB? What is the new rig for?

I agree, DDR5 6000 is generally considered the best bet for AM5 right now. It has both optimal performance over DDR5 5200, and in general should be more stable compared to other "odd" clocks, due to how the memory to IMC ratios work.

Like I said in my earlier post, thats not a problem since you can set it at 5200 in the bios. Just set XMP2 and then set the ram speed at 5200 to underclock it.
