Issue with Ubuntu 22.04 and Linux Mint 21.2 after CPU/motherboard/RAM upgrade

I recently upgraded from a Ryzen 7 5800X3D/B550 system to a Ryzen 7 7800X3D/X670E system and now whenever I boot into Ubuntu 22.04, I get a message saying that "hub config failed. Ports unavailable: error 19." All the USB ports on my new motherboard are working. I disconnected my USB hub and it still gave me that message. This also happens in Linux Mint 21.2. I also updated to the latest BIOS and that message still occurs. It doesn't appear to affect the system operation in any way. I don't get this issue with POP!_ OS or Windows 11.

To be more specific, here is the message I get just before the Ubuntu login screen:

hub 10-0:1.0: config failed, hub doesn't have any ports! (err -19)

I tested every USB port on my new motherboard and they all are working. I also tried Ubuntu 23.10 and it still has that same message. I also tried with wi-fi, bluetooth, and onboard audio disabled and re-enabled secure boot in the BIOS and the message is still there. My motherboard is an MSI Tomahawk X670E.

The Ryzen 7 7800X3D/X670E isn't exactly a just-released platform as the 7800X3D as been released about 9 months ago and the X670E motherboards have been released about a year ago. As I said even Ubuntu 23.10 which not LTS but newer, I still get this message. Does that mean, I could be waiting a few years more for the next LTS version to get rid of this message, if it's because Ubuntu 22.04 and Linux Mint 21.2 don't fully support my new hardware?

Not at all. You can install a hardware enablement (HWE) kernel and GUI stack onto Ubuntu Linux at any time. Alternately next summer you will have the option of upgrading to Ubuntu 24.04 (personally I'm not a big fan of the non-LTS releases).

As to the original question, if everything is working I just wouldn't worry about it. Unlike Windows or macOS, Linux sometimes leaks out these cryptic messages and you can consider it informational if you aren't experiencing any problems. Ignore post #3, nobody compiles a device driver from manufacturer's source code in 2023.
