Currently I have a Samsung S20 FE 5G, and it has been working well for me. I doubled it's storage up to about 250GB by adding a micro SD card. My question is, are there any good new phones with SD card slots that would be a substantial upgrade? Also, I am not looking for anything too expensive. I would consider trading in my phone, but I am already on a family plan and don't want to change it or anything.

I am just curious as I got a message from ATT about the S24 coming up, though I don't think that has the SD card slot. Thanks!

Now that phones are hitting TB storage the sd options have been fading for years already. Some phones that are dual sim have a spot in the tray for an sd expansion though.

For cheap service though you should check out circledin.com for cheaper rates if you don't have tons of lines. I joined a group for $40/mo that would normally be $85. Since the group is maxed out with 12 lines every possible perk is included as well. If you want to add your lines to CI and form a group you can and then people can join and unlock more perks.

Bummer, the link I am to provide is for the EU Asian markets. But I own a Edge+ 2021 and wife owns an Edge + 2022 (I think, it has the SD gen1 chip in it) and both have SD card slots.

Now the following link is not official since it's not technically released until the 16th, but I don't see them removing the SD card slot in the SIM tray for the Edge+ 2024 with the SD G3 chipset.

I am completely happy with my 2021 edge+ but the SDG1 is lack luster. Wife has had issues with it. Was one of those why not get the newer version, than the one I had ( after I had got her original replaced under insurance) long story not worth it. I don't have the problems she has, wifi dropping, ect.

I am considering this new 2024 Edge+ IF, big huge IF my work rolls out their mobile service, at 30 per line unlimited if there is no other underlying prices involved. ATM I am paying 20 or 25 per line on VZ, but you also have the main plan. So seeing how this shakes out.

@DaaQ

I have a OP11 with the SDG3 and it flies on TMO hitting upwards of 600mbps for DL speeds. But, the reason I upgraded was for 6ghz WIFI for network testing.

I'm always looking for deals though on service as well and stumbled across CircledIn.com where you can join other peoples plans and get the bulk line discounts. I get unlimited phone / data + 40GB of tethering for $38.50/mo all in. Normal retail would be $100+

They have plans with all of the major carriers though and some of the MVNO's as well. Before venturing into CI I was using promo plans with Mint for $15/mo. The other thing I use the sim for though is my primary ISP using an M2 modem in a USB adapter. I was paying $50/mo for FWA through TMO and now dropped Mint and TMHI to save at least $30/mo and just move the sim when needed for mobility.

I forgot to add the link,

Plus I like the Moto exclusive features, flashlight camera gestures. Also the antennas seem better IME.

That should be the Moto Edge+ 2025 in the US, fast that it has dual sim leads me to believe it will be Micro SD car slot, I have 1st to 3rd gen (I think) and that is how it is.

My 2021 is paid off, it all depends on my employers additional fees, because just 10 bucks off per line, which is 5 to 10 more than I pay now, it's not worth it. but if there is no 100+ unlimited plan initial fee, then yea I will switch to save 150ish bucks.

I will report back when they get the details worked out.
