I don't think anyone is saying that he wasn't charged here (AZ) out of fear of a hung jury. That reference was more about the already ongoing cases.

Having an unindicted co-conspirator is usually done for some other prosecutorial advantage.

Sure, you can have another trial, but Trump's entire strategy (and possibly that of anyone supporting him) is to get him through the election before the most damaging trials conclude. Delay, delay delay.

Trump figures if he wins he'll hand-wave it all away. He'll certainly try. I don't feel too confident that the rest of the government will be willing or able to stop him no matter what laws or rules are in place. He wants to make his own rules just like his heroes Putin, Duterte and Kim--such models for the new Amerika--they all get to have their every whim put into action, this is what he'll be going for.

The problem is if you get a willing jurist on each trial to hang it, functionally creating a jury nullification by extending the trials until after Trump could be elected again.

Outside of Tucson, it's a very purple (at best) state. Even Phoenix is very evenly split, depends on which part of the metro you're in. It's not that far fetched.

I think he has a valid point. It will be very difficult to seat a jury without at least one MAGA cult member on it. Those fuckers are absolutely delusional. We have more than enough ample evidence they are impervious to fact and reason.

In the NY case, one jury member uses Truth Social as their primary news source. I think the chances of that fucker hanging the jury are damn near 100%.

Generally the jurors take their charge very seriously.
IIRC Troof Social is not they're complete only source of news. Granted Excretions are also relevant, but it is an educated juror who reads alot. Is how I heard it from the ex #2 prosecutor from that specific office. That was only the questionnaire they filled out. Under questioning they admitted to being a Wall Street broker that reads all ( EDIT) alot of sources.

Take it for what it's worth. They swear to be able to be impartial and review the facts.
