By default, Microsoft's "please mister user, set edge as the default as well as all the Microsoft-friendly options such as Bing for search!" message for anyone who dares use Edge on not-default settings was possible to switch off through edge://flags and disabling "Show feature and workflow recommendations", but in some recent update they've got rid of that option.
I wonder why on earth they bother to provide a configurable option to change which search engine one uses if they're going to try and nag people to death for changing the option.
Aside from uninstalling Edge (I imagine it wouldn't stay gone though) or just not using it, if anyone knows of a new way to disable this prompt, I'd like to know!
