What New in 23H2 the common way -
There are few ways to approach the Upgrade.
I will describe my way.
I download the ISO as a file and store it on my computer.
The file created is Win11_23H2_English_x64.iso its size 5.25 GB
I recommend using USB3 of 16 GB to ensure enough space.
My favorite is https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-128GB-Ultra-Flash-Drive/dp/B081QSX1M5/
I use RUFUS for creating the Upgrade/Install USB
https://rufus.ie/en/ (I recommend using the portable version).
RUFU is very fast to make solid USB and you can make sure that it can neutralize the restrictions that MS put on the Upgrade. It especially important if you have a Computer from few tears ago.
I do in-Place install.
After few experiments in the past few years I learned that there is no reason to do fresh install and then spend days to organize my system again.
If you have a system that the OS is problematic you can always do again a Fresh Install.
So… doing in0place install of 23H2 is totally similar to the process and outcome of the last year 22H2 install.
On i7 Rocket Lake computer it took 25 Min.
I everything works OK and I know that I do not need to go back to 22H2…
I usually run after the free version of cCleaner. It erased big amount of Reg. file that are not needed any more.
Then Run the MS Disk Cleanup it Frees about 8GB of unneeded junk content.
