With the USD being so strong at the moment, I think it'll be a tough sell on many markets outside US though.

I think the more likely scenario is that the small subset of non price sensitive ultra enthusiast and prosumer workstation customers would buy them. The non shill YouTube & website reviewers will poo all over them for the absurd price increase over the same class part from the previous generation. They'd encourage their viewers/readers not to buy them and justify it with price/performance charts. Only hyper-partisan AMD fans would defend the pricing on forums, reddit, and comment sections while everyone else would have their pitchforks out. Neither of those vendors ship cores clocking anything worthwhile.They will have something to compete with Qualcomm and Apple.
