The US needs conservative politicians, to be clear, even if it's just as a check on the liberal side. However, I do think the Republicans as they are today have veered way, way too far off-course. They're obsessed with culture wars, and of course are too eager to support demagoguery.Let's hope that cancerous tumor of a party actually does die on that hill. We need the dying part to happen
