Arizona Supreme Court upholds civil war era law banning all abortions. Another purple state may turn solidly blue.

How about trying to inform women and minorities who may not vote the consequences? Democrats are such wimps. Wahhhhhhhhhhjj

Some voters are undecided because they're transactional and come from bribes for vote backgrounds.

They don't care if the world burns as long as they get their bribes.

FFS just look at the undecided voter focus groups on TV.

This country has careened far to the right. Our "liberals" would likely be centrists in most other "first world countries"--ie, not the type of banana republic authoritarian's wet dream that Trump envies.

Reagan--who was a scumbag for various reasons--would be shunned by today's GOP (as Romney became). He's not nearly abrasive enough.

Not sure they've ever really had a "course" other than culture wars. Used to be commies and hippies, now it's trans and immigrants and kneeling football players and "Woke". There's always an enemy to distract the rubes. I'm sure BLM and An-tee-fuh will be recycled at some point.
Reagan would be right at home in today's GOP as a racist culture warrior celebrity with no substance who commits crimes in plain sight but it's ok because people like the way he speaks.

LOL on informing people

Good luck with that. People have found "facts" to fit their beliefs and anything to the contrary is fake news. Anyone with the willingness and logical intelligence to listen to you likely doesn't snort the conspiracy garbage in the first place. I no longer try to butt my head against concrete walls. I got over that during the 2nd Gulf invasion. People wanted to go kill A-rabs (or people who looked like them) and that's the only "fact" that mattered.

Back to AZ--once again, Democrats better pray that educated women keep propping up the side. We need even more of them if they are pissed over this. They need to offset uneducated rural white men (and increasingly, hispanic men which gets into the chickens for KFC thing...)

Alberta is Canada’s MAGAtard. The premiere pushing the anti LGBT agenda, sucking up to Tucker Carlson and I bet she’ll target abortion soon enough
Wild Rose party was too extreme so she joins Cons lol. She needs to be kicked to the curb...none of what she claims or wants to do is possible lol.

Shrugs. All you can do is inform but if people want the country to burn there is literally nothing we can do about that. Maybe the country needs to watch people put into concentration camps (I mean migrant camps), women rights fully removed and minorities hung on trees along with their social security gone to wake up. Screaming over and over it is the end as the MAGAT goevous does has no value unless he really is a MAGAT trolling which I suspect.

Do we though? In a hypothetical world where change is super easy, when a change turns out to be disastrous it is super easy to change back or modify. So where does the benefit of conservatism come in?
Keep in mind that I'm thinking of reasonable conservatives... that is, ones willing to adapt to some degree as society changes. The ones who focus on classic economic and foreign policies rather than culture wars, obstructionism, and wedge issues. Heck, I'll take European conservatives (who are often comparatively left-leaning).

I'm solidly liberal, but I also want a variety of ideas rather than an echo chamber. That's good for democracy and avoiding complacency.

If you are solidly liberal than you are just left of Ronald Reagan in this country at this point 😂. Fox entertainment has convinced millions of Americans Genghis Kahn was woke compared to their Jesus land selves.

Not that I expected much different it’s remarkable how they simply do not sense electoral danger at all. Very likely incorrectly.

I think that in their zeal for rich person tax cuts they weaponized abortion based on the idea that no SCOTUS would actually be crazy enough to overturn roe. So state legislatures got filled with crazy people who actually believed this. Then they caught the car.

Mostly Republicans demagogue on things like trans rights because they know 99% of voters won’t be affected by them. This used to be true about abortion rights. Now they are facing the calamitous unpopularity of their views but it’s too late because they already elected the crazies.

I think so too...I mean, I never for a moment thought they would want to lose abortion as a wedge issue.

Indeed, they almost also lost the Border as another wedge, but Stinky rode in and saved their hash just in time on that one.

Oh, they're going to lose abortion as an issue. Just not in the way that they thought.

I think you literally have to burn Fox News to the ground and hold a collective 7 day feast celebrating its demise - before you can even begin to deprogram all the harm it's done.

Not enough.

There must be blood.. there will be no forgiveness!

Biggest mistake America ever made was "forgiveness" after the Civil War which allowed MTG and the like to become common place!

I think we as a species has to come to terms with the possibility that crazy will always exist. As there will always be crime there will always be MTG's.

It's about a managing protocol. And dare I say the inmates are running the asylum right now? Should probably get those guards back up on those walls.

WTF??!?!!?! Is all I can say

So much for the separation of church and state

This is what they want:

The submissive tradwife who's an uneducated sex worker, babysitter, choir singer, chef all in 1 and can be recharged while sleeping at night.

Lets be honest, Elon could make another fortune off this new quasi Real Doll market complete with home mail delivery!

Lots of jobs for advanced programmers too for this niche.

They seem to be inexplicably oblivious to their potential electoral slaughter based on this one issue. Even their leader is making some walking back noises.

Maybe they've been sealed in their own echo chambers so long, they assume this is a broadly popular position. Or maybe they assume gerrymandering and voter suppression will insulate them from consequences. Or maybe they look at polls (although who relies on those at this point) and think they can ride the coattails of the former guy to victory.

It'll be a fascinating analysis whatever happens.

Why is MTG so popular in her district? Willing to overlook skank and crazy?

Dude, Rome, GA, which is the largest “city” in her district, is in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains…dueling banjos country (Deliverance)

Racist, skanky crazy is an expected feature of the area, not anything odd.
