You need to read the SW novels (not the Disney ones) and maybe look at some of the old SW games manuals (X-Wing and Tie Fighter ones especially) to really understand why people got sucked into the SW galaxy. That was really good stuff. The brilliant thing Lucas did was flesh out the WHOLE galaxy, as much as they could back then and not in a "hey, this is cool. buy this merchandise" kind of way but in a very "authentic" way that made you feel like there probably IS an ACTUAL galaxy like that far, far away. Give me a good movie with plenty of SW concepts that I'm familiar with and I can watch it all day long. But don't frickin' try to redefine concepts or try to make things better, like Disney tried to do and mostly failed. So, yeah. If you asked me 30 years ago, i too would have said i like SW, but only because all 3 films happen to be good. Today, not really, no.
It was great but also pissed me off. My buddy who is a gamer and like many, loved the games, said the fan base was pretty split when what happened with Joel in this las episode went down. Like the coincidence was just over the top.The Last of Us s2e2 is the best episode in the series thus far. What an amazing episode.
There's some really amazing stories in the SW novels worthy of being made into series. Unfortunately, Disney dumped them allMany have been trash.

i didn't mean Despecialized over any other. And, frankly, i cannot say which one of the various fan-remasters has the best color. Remember i grew up watching this on VHS, copied off the TV .. But in general, any version which undoes the awfulness that George "Fat Bastard" Lucas added to the digital releases.Despecialized is OK, but have you seen the 4k## versions? It's a must if you're into the whole film grain thing.

Brad Winderbaum says Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is coming out in 2026 "and then hopefully season 3 and season infinity after that."
I watched
Chronicles Of Riddick - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0296572/reference/
in the *theatrical* version, which is better in every way compared to the director's cut.
1. everything the DC adds is redundant and over-explains the things which are later either hinted at, or explained subtly somewhere else
2. more fighting scenes do not make the film better
3. shorter runtime helps the pacing
4. they have the excellent "NEVER!" instead of the lame "f you" during the fight with the big bad guy.
i know there are mixed feelings about this film, but i loved it. Good villain, a good subplot about the power struggle in the necromonger faction, that intertwines with the main plot.
Some elements are weak, sure. Kyra is a horrible character, black-preacher-dude is poorly recycled. And, let's be honest, the whole necromonger stuff is quite cartoonish. Now, i don't terribly mind this last aspect, and i found the sets & costumes to be pretty good, aside from a few matte paintings and some other cost-related elements like that.
Vin Diesel is just great as Riddick, and hey, it's got Thandiwe Newton, you guys like her, right?
Karl Urban is the important secondary antagonist. And, the plot isn't just a dumb "kill the bad guy" schtick, there's a bit more to it and on top of that the what-little horror element that serves as the background story is quite nice, too.
Today i would rate this film 7/10. When it came out, fresh on the trail of Pitch Black, i would have given it a 8/10. If you watch this having NOT seen Pitch Black, probably 6/10.
