i'm in the beginning of the process of buying a house, as such i can spend weeks without ever setting foot outside of the (rented) house. That gives me a lot of time with nothing to do.

Also, i rarely watch films because i just want to be amused, i generally try to patch a hole in my film knowledge.

I also watch a shitton of youtube videos. Mostly "science" stuff, but the occasional memelord shitposting will catch my attention.

Oh hell naw.

a single book adapted into a 10-episode series. And Forrest Whitaker is the titular, but he plays a secondary character, as he is dead by Ep 1 and only appears in flashbacks.
Some Republican judge dies and the three adult kids he has go digging through his past - finding very little that would actually make the headlines today.

I'm sorry but this was boring. Some very vague political mystery (read the spoilers on wikipedia by going to the page for the book of the same name) will not keep me watching 10+ hours of no-name actors who couldn't come up with a script. And it's not that the acting is bad, but the characters are beyond bland.

Watched the first three episodes of andor last night. Really good stuff. And also just really nice to look at.

Pretty excited because they're dropping the next three episodes tonight. And the same the next 2 weeks. So the whole season will drop within a month.

I think each set of three episodes takes place over a year.

THe original series was pitched for a five season story arc. But when shooting season 1, they realized it was too much to take on, plus Cassian aging and having to de-age him, etc..

SO season two is four sets of 3 episodes, each covering one year of Cassian's life and the growth of the rebel alliance.

I watched the first 2 episodes and decided it was a season I wanted to hold off on and just binge the crap out of it lol So I'm going to wait until all of them are released and maybe take a personal day off to watch it. It's use it or lose it by July 1 so we'll see.

On a side note, Genevieve O'Reilly is so easy on the eyes to me. I think she plays Mon Moth beautifully. Every conversation she has in the show she portrays herself with class but you can see the worrisome and urgency at the same time. IDK. I just like watching her.

Three Ninjas is one of my favorite childhood movies so I watched it with both of my kids this past weekend. I own the DVD however when I opened the case, I didn't have the disc in there so I'm not sure where it is. So we had to watch it on Prime.

And as many times as I have seen the original movie and love it, I had absolutely NO CLUE there was a different version. The version on Prime had so many difference scenes as well as added scenes. Some of the major scenes played out differently as well.

After watching it, I googled and apparently it's the international version on there, and it's more "mature" in that it shows more violence, has more guns, etc. But it was kind of cool to see new scenes in a movie I had seen so many times and had no clue about.

That said, the original is a lot better IMO. The extra scenes just seem unnecessary and out of place most of the time, and the way they changed stuff also felt weird/out of place, and it also made the editing feel weird/worse. There were also some sound effects left out, probably because they are childish sound effects like "boing" when people are being hit sometimes.
