Are those foreign shenanigans where they funded things in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and Yemen?One area of internal tension as I understand it has been underinvestment in conventional domestic forces and security in favor of foreign shenanigans. A government that comes along and focuses on those instead and is less repressive would be a different kind of problem for the Israelis.
I suppose they under invested in Iraq somehow, expected some AA to be used from there. Yet not a peep aside from some diplomatic cover. Given the role Iranian militias played in stopping ISIS, Iraq's non involvement so far is surprising me.
