I literally never said those words. He apparently supports the Jaskalas school of carpet bombing Gaza back "into the stone age."
Was it something to that effect?
My actual position is that Israel is fully justified in counter battery fire. Not that they have limited themselves to just that. By all accounts they have gone well beyond responding to rockets. But that takes me to my second point, the war should continue until there are no more hostages. I would end their suffering one way or another. That there are hostages means I would capture Gaza.
@Leeea recently laid out the next logical part.
How do you want this to end, with Hamas continuing to start wars in the future?
I would value peace, a lasting peace. That goal is antithetical to Hamas's continued existence. Capture, seize control of, and filter the people. Absorb them into Israel. No one else will have them, and attempts to leave them alone clearly failed when Hamas started this war. Ignoring Hamas is no longer an option.
Hamas chooses how many people die in this war. I would not hold Israel accountable for that.
I WOULD hold Israel accountable for how they handle the post-war. How people are treated afterwards.
I make no qualms about fighting a war in a dense urban environment being an atrocity.
But I make clear distinctions for who starts it, who has to finish it, and why.
You fail to provide any viable alternatives. You just want Hamas to live, and for people to die another day.
