New York Democratic congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez went further and called for Trump’s impeachment – something that has been tried twice before. “The President’s disastrous decision to bomb Iran without authorization is a grave violation of the Constitution and Congressional War Powers. He has impulsively risked launching a war that may ensnare us for generations. It is absolutely and clearly grounds for impeachment,” she said on X.

Maybe the DOGE cuts, and coming social security and medicare/ medicaid cuts and bank accounts from every MAGA voter can be used to fund tax cuts for billionaires err reparations to Iran!

That won't be enough though..

This is what trusting North Korea got us:

Iran wanted a bomb no matter what. We ended those plans and its what we should have done to NK.

Kim Jong Un's hermit kingdom should not have a bomb

If anything North Korea (and Ukraine) proves why having the bomb is a decent idea. Nobody bothers with North Korea, and they do their own thing. Think Russia would've invaded Ukraine if they still had nukes? Probably not. If Iran had a bomb, none of this would've happened. It would be mutually assured destruction.

NK launches missiles all the time. They like to sabre rattle and issue threatening proclamations. I think their real power is their conventional forces. They have a lot of artillery that could cause a lot of damage to Seoul.

You should retitle post

“This is what trusting Trump got us”. You would never say because it puts your choices into question

Think Trump is waiting for his peeps to show up outside the White House like people did for Obama to praise him?

Easy prediction. Ain't gonna happen

Dang it. Al Dhafra airbase with over 3000 US personnel is roughly 20 miles from me

Wonder if Iran decides to go berserk and attack that first.

Doesn’t seem like a smart move. The smart move would be to mobilize terrorist organizations to attack us in any way they can. I expect American citizens in large numbers overseas to be at the greatest risk.

Technically North Korea is still at war with South Korea.

Are you saying we should let Pyongyang just attack Seoul and not help them out? What if China helps the North? Still stay out of it?

Pretty much yea. Why is it our problem? What's the point, to "stop the spread of communism"? Because that worked so well in Vietnam. If an international coalition wanted to get involved then I'd be open to the idea.

It would be to stop the attempted subjugation of a nation by its aggressor. Akin to what has been happening in Ukraine for the past 3 years.
Why is it our problem? We have decades and decades of military and economic cooperation with South Korea after the Korean War (which did stop the spread of communism). Say bye bye Samsung, LG, SK Hynix, Hyundai, Kia. We’d be surrendering and look weak.
I’m not going to apologize for sticking up for our allies. This is weak sauce.

While I understand why you don't want to be world police, it's usually a good idea to honor your alliances. You might need them at a certain point.

Just so everyone is on the same page

NON of this would have happened if Trump had not torn up the working deal that Obama made.

Right?

So this is Trump fixing a Trump fuck up by... fucking more up.

A walking talking fuck up.
Trumps scheme, create a problem (real or imaginary) then fail miserably to fix it. He thinks that puts him on par with Putin, Kim Jong-un and other dictators.

Hitler took over 11 countries, Trump thinks he has secured 10 blocks of an American city. Perhaps if he had a normal size penis he would be less insecure.

I certainly don't want South Korea to be overrun. But would you or your children be joining the frontline?

Allies are great. But when they strike first then want help that is a bunch of crap.

Bibi: We cant wait 2 weeks, do it now!
Trump: Yes sir Mr. Bibi...
Trump: Done Mr. Bibi... anything else we can do for you?
Yeah, that is the problem. If you don't take control as US president, then somebody will create a situation where you are forced to act. Hence the reason why having a passive foreign policy or actively alienating your allies is a loosing strategy.

No she is wrong. The War Powers act only requires the President to notify Congress(Which Trump did) and if it lasts longer than 60-days it requires Congressional approval.
It also requires a threat to the US which everyone knows is not the case.

If that wasn’t the case Trump could drop a bomb on 20 countries because each one only lasts a day. Starting with Greenland
