I tought that was an accident, but this new makes me change the mind and it shows how vulnerable is an Aircraft carrier due the drones.
The US fleet is a historical relic at this point. We just don't know it yet.
We cannot secure the Red Sea against Yemen. Let alone a real threat.

Sad story the drones changed the story forever.... no one is safe
This is just not even remotely true. The US Navy is very safe from drones.

First, a carrier can simply outrange any drones. Second, Phalanx CIWS is basically a tailor made drone killer. It is a fully automated cannon system that fires 75 high explosive rounds a second - is there a drone swarm you're thinking of that's going to stand up to that? Good luck.

i am so not shocked it's amazing,i must be made of the best insulation on earth

anyone who absolves Biden (and later VP Harris for not rejecting Biden's Leahy Law violating M.E. policies) kneeling before (hands behind his head) Bibi "yeah make it beautiful Joe" Netanyahu for his part in losing the votes needed to beat Trump is as dumb as MAGA

I'll grant that it's truthy, but could it be misinformation aimed at would-be "but Gaza" Dem voters, to continue driving that wedge in American politics?
record speaks for itself, going against the Leahy act is another....

also from a while ago the below article outlined how Biden's State Department systematically buried human rights concerns.

Only the most diehard blue MAGA devotee could still believe that Biden's "grave concerns" were genuine.

sure you can question the poll but it was conducted by YouGov even if at the request of an organization who might have an axe to grind.

A YouGov poll backed by the Institute for Middle East Understanding (IMEU) Policy Project and released on Wednesday showed that among the 19 million people who voted for President Joe Biden in 2020 but did not vote in 2024, nearly a third named Israel's U.S.-backed war on Gaza as a top reason for staying home.

They didn't turn around to vote for Trump they stayed home... now if Kamala put distance between herself and Genocide Joe Declinen Biden she might have kept a portion of 19 million voters times 0.29 or 29% of those who said Gaza was the issue that made them not vote in 2024 after voting for Biden in 2020. or approximately 4.8 million voters. not an insignificant amount especially if enough of those voters were from swing states.

The problem with this poll is it doesnt' answer the question had she backed gaza how many people would not have voted for her....

Basically she was in a no win situation politically when it came to the israel slaughter of the Palestine people; of course one can argue she should have done what was morally right but in the end she had no chance to win in this issue. Having said that with Trump he didn't face this issue.... sometime life sucks and other time the asshole just can't not win.,

Point taken, but given this particular no win situation I'd rather have my soul (so to speak).
could be a factor in why I am not in a higher tax bracket though.

Let's face it, the Palestinian issue was the largest albatross around Kamala's neck with anybody left of center that would vote D.

The fact is I do believe that Kamala would have been noticeably tougher on Israel. The problem is, she didn't really show it remotely nearly enough. I think it because I am a political junkie and read stories which made me realize that - but not the kind of reporting the general voting pop reads. I think at the end of the day it turns out to be a good lesson about the major failures of the Dem party - this combination of such a high level of obedience to seniority, and also to never rock the boat that much. I strongly believe Kamala was advised to keep the very conservative messaging on Palestine by both the Biden camp and by the corrupt Democratic consultant class. She needed to have clear and consistent messaging on her difference and she simply did not.

I think there is a very very good chance she would have won if she separated herself from Biden in any meaningful way.
