I've read about an an Iran intel op vs Israel a few days ago and that they would reveal the details soon. Guess that was it. Also did not trust the IAEA report about evidence vs Iran seeing Israel has a record of manipulating such evidence not least of all in the Iraq war.

Huh? Unlike Iraq...
  • Iran has a nuclear program.
  • Iran is enriching Uranium.
Only real question left hanging is... how advanced is it?

And since Trump broke the "deal" almost a decade ago, and Trump has positioned forces for bombing Iran....
If I was Iran, becoming a nuclear power is the only logical choice. Don't see North Korea being bombed.
Currently, the biggest threat to Iran... is NOT having the bomb.

Missed the point. Which is that Israel is a master at manipulating evidence at the highest levels to initiate war vs their adversaries. The IAEA report is suspect and relies on old evidence. It does not focus on Irans enrichment of (below weapons grade) uranium, but on traces of uranium found at undeclared sites many years ago. Which Iran (rightly or wrongly) says is the result of sabotage and with Israels history of penetrating Irans nuclear program to either kill its scientists or possibly to plant 'evidence'' is entirely plausible to me.

Iran has now responded to the IAEA report by planning to launch new enrichment sites (which I dont blame them for) but again bottom line, Israel (in my view) has had a hand at manoevering things to the point we are at now.

Pretty sure this would not have been the case if Trump continued with Obamas JCPOA. But Israel manipulated the US/Trump to scuttle it for an eventual war against Iran, which we may be witnessing about to unfold in near future.

I see we are getting well onto the pages of the history book with the maps and arrows now.
If we're all very, very lucky, Israel was successful and blew up a bunch of very important shit, and there will be a bunch of gnashing of teeth from the muslim community and little else. If we're unlucky, Iran will respond, and we may in the best case be flung into another 20 year middle east conflict, in the worst case a light WW3.

We’re already there.

Questions of morality aside....
Do we think Israel is even large enough to take out the full extent of Iran's nuclear program without the US air force?
Like... this feels like ineffectually kicking the hornets nest. And forcing Iran to demonstrate nuclear weapons capability. Perhaps nuclear war itself.

No. And I'm not sure our conventional assets get it done either, based on what I know of supposed Iranian sites.

Israel not content with like three active conflicts decided it needed another much bigger one. Maybe do Egypt next for no reason. Why not?
Netanyahoo (sic) needs simmering conflicts until he dies... its the only way he stays in power and the ability to avoid corruption charges.

From bluesky - "Rubio says US not involved in strikes on Iran while Israeli media outlets are saying the strikes were coordinated with Trump."

Not sure if anyone has seen Israeli media with these claims?

ABC News reported that Israel doesn't have strategic bombers, so they don't have bunker busters. They rely on the USAF for this.

Israel has a tiny population, but is generally considered to have a top 6 military. Not sure how to square that circle; someone else can explain it to us.

Sounds like they went after the military and political leadership trying for a decapitation strike. Iran going to send the real deal response to Israel and they’re not gonna telegraph it.

As Israel pulled the US into enabling their Gaza genocide and Iraq war, so they have pulled the US into an Iran war with all the consequences that will entail. Disgusting wagging of the tail on display here. Israel would not have done this on the premise they were going it alone.

So do I believe the country C that had its democratic government overthrown by country A, who also happened to break a nuclear agreement with said country who was known to be in compliance before country A reneged on the deal but has a history of supporting terrorist organizations? Or do I believe country A whose current government is led by a narcissistic liar and a cabinet of sycophants who are not only grossly incompetent but who also knowingly lie to the American people and who put their party before the country. Or do I believe country B who is lead by a person who is currently charged with corruption and has numerous recent human rights violations.

That’s quite the choice.

I guess we may see an acceleration of the annexation of WB in coming weeks.

Until last month, Palestinians in the West Bank preserved their land ownership certificates in case their land was claimed by the Israeli state or by Israeli settlers. But a recent Israeli government decision made their lands in the West Bank open to property registration by anybody, including settlers — forcing Palestinians to seek their land ownership recognition by the Israeli state or see the ownership of their lands transferred to Israeli hands...
