Agreed. If Israels actions resulted in regime change and a less adventurist Iran I would be happy. But that would be tempered by a more adventurist Israel who may be tempted to swallow up ever more territory (in Syria) for their Greater Israel project which would create further instability and terrorism in the region.So the explicit Israeli goal here is regime change in Iran. Which uh fine I guess since I don't have any love for the ayatollah. The idea that a democratic Iran would be less hostile to Israel and not seek the bomb also feels...underbaked to say the least. If they got their wish they could end up producing a more competent government and military that still hates their guts that does less adventurism (Syria, Hezbollah, Hamas, etc) but has nuclear weapons.

Thing is a disproportionate amount of the casualties in Israel will end up being Palestinians because the government doesn’t bother building many bomb shelters for these communities.
I really thought Trump was not keen on Israel striking Iran. But seems he was dog-walked into it by Nyahoo. The credibility of the US is gone. No one will trust it in any future conflict meditation or even economic dealings as we've seen with his yo-yoing on the tariffs. The guy is too fickle to deal with let along be a leader of a country.
Even more stupidly of him was his reactions and gloating statements after Israels strike, like he was trying to be a part of the glory of it. What a fuckwit extraordinaire.
