If the reporting is to be believed Vance, Hegseth, and Rubio were on the "no" side of conducting the strike.

If that's the case, Trump ignored all his advisers and cabinet and HE alone did this. Which plays back to his personal glorification and narcissism. HIS orders, nobody else’s and it is him who must be held accountable, on his own for the consequences of his action. He’s a loose cannon with absolutely no knowledge about anything least of all what he has done. He willingly destabilizes the Middle East again!

Trump himself has decided to ally this country with another criminal, Netanyahu. Both should be in prison, both have blood on their hands, both are self-serving bastards. Send in the Christians first, they are the ones that want total destruction of the world to feed their religious fantasies.

14 MOPs dropped on Fordow. Strike required 40% of the active B-2 fleet not including deception operation.

I'm still skeptical they actually destroyed the enrichment halls at Fordo. It's supposed to be dug in under the ridge of a rock mountain, with tons of super-concrete.

More likely they just created massive mess of the entrance tunnels. A lot of time to dig it out is a setback, but not the exaggerated claims of total destruction from Trump.

They targeted the ridge over the main hall. If they made it through or not is the question. A major risk to the facility was if it was still running during any strike (centrifuges quite delicate to mechanical and electrical anomalies). Since the Iranians buried the portals they certainly shut down well prior.

I haven't heard any indication of radiation spikes, which should either indicate they moved the material ahead of time, or the bombs didn't take out their target.

I wonder how many Russian scientists working at those sites got killed. Vlad is not going to be pleased. Unless Trump suggested Vlad offer them a weekend vacation starting at X time on Y day.

Anyway ...over the past decade dealing with Trump, the talking heads always scream how Trump is breaking this law or that law, but, if the people who enforce the law refuse to enforce it, where does that leave a "Nation of laws"? If Merrick Garland had done his damn job, we might not be in this mess. Trump has been before judge after judge and he never faces any real penalties and he's not going to this time ether. So much for our "nation of laws".

America and Donald Trump finally bought the high mileage used car with sawdust in the transmission that Bibi's been trying to sell for years. Israel, our permanent welfare queen, has won out at long last in getting us into their war. They found their sucker in Donald Trump. The sad part ... Israel did not elect him. We did!

I won't be surprised if he'll try to drag this out until 2028 and claim a war emergency as justification for him staying in office.

There are no Russians at those sites. The only ones doing anything nuclear in country are building two civil reactors at Bushehr.

Iran says they evacuated before this. Which makes sense given rising tensions.

Illegal war by an illegal president!

And don't think for a second the democrats are gonna oppose this.. Chuck Shumer is ecstatic.

Maybe that guy that killed the dem state senator had the right idea but the wrong target.. shoulda targetted the pro israel dems.

Oh and no one remembers that happened anymore.. 24/7 news cycle. Trump is a master.

Calling for assassination of democratically elected officials of any persuasion is ignorant , shameful, and wrong.

Vlad has already made the calculation that a subservient Trump is more advantageous than Iran.

Bishop sacrifice!

It is interesting if that were the case. Either it's that Trump has come under other influences (e.g. Netanyahu playing him) or, perhaps even more alarming, its an effect of dementia starting to kick in? People with dementia can become verbally or physically aggressive, but I don't know if I've seen any research on whether it makes them more likely to deploy stealth bombers and bunker-busters. (More research is needed, I guess?)

So when are we going to get the videos or images?

It would quite an egg on face moment if all of it survived, or they moved all their enriched materials.

How about I call for a cleansing of all trump cocksuckers like you instead??

Ignorant? No I'm not ignorant to ignore you as the problem.

Shame? Americans have no shame.

Wrong? The winner writes the books.

So suck my cock bitch boy!

Your last sentence crosses the line here.

It also requires a threat to the US which everyone knows is not the case.

If that wasn’t the case Trump could drop a bomb on 20 countries because each one only lasts a day. Starting with Greenland

Where does it say that in the War Powers Resolution?

The War Powers Resolution doesn't does almost nothing to prevent POTUS from starting any war they want as long as it is shorter than 60-days. AOC should read the act before commenting.

The War Powers Resolution is useful only in the sense that it should cover uses of force for genuine, imminent threats where there is no real time to consult Congress.

What we have here is a unilateral decision being made by the president, where no imminent threat existed. The use of force here was totally illegal, unconstitutional (and frankly, anti-constitutional), and anti-republican. The decision to use force in the absence of true, imminent threats, must rest with the people's elected representatives (even if they may still choose to do the stupid thing).

Seems consistent with this regime's tendency to declare everything to be an "emergency" so as to override every possible check or balance.

Yes. That's why this regime, with nazi-lovers like Stephen Miller, love Carl Schmitt, who highlighted how effectively unlimited power exists in the state of the exception [of the law] (and under states of emergency).

But this also goes to show why we need to be responsible voters and elect people that actually want to run the government under the laws in good faith. All the paper in the world won't stop people with power that want to ignore the law.

Previous POTUS's have done military strikes against foreign powers without approval from Congress. So what exactly makes this strike illegal and unconstitutional?
