In two different grocery stores today, in two different towns, I saw Amish families shopping. In both cases, the men wore sturdy work boots while the women and small children were barefoot, not even sandals.

I know what I heard. Or at least I think I do, but I can't find it to prove it. I can see the character walking away and saying it.

A movie, I'm pretty sure is was The Adventures of Fairlane Ford with Diceman. Maybe towards the end of the flick, a building explodes, Dice flicks a cigarette or something and utters 'Rest in Pieces!'

None of the quotes sites seem to have it. I even found a site that supposedly displayed the full script and it wasn't in there.

Must be nice, around here the stores have had a no-shoes-no-shirt-no-service policy for as long as I can remember. Nice until someone who should be hiding their feet, isn't.

So I ran out of grill propane. My 20lb tank was aged out (12 yrs old max?), so swapped it for a Blue Rhino prefilled.

Seemed easy enough, but I did not notice! This exchanged tank is 1" shorter than standard. WTF?

It won't sit in the base bracket on my grill to hold it still, just flops around hanging from the upper handle bracket, so I had to fab an extension piece to catch on the bottom bracket. Luckily there was a factory hole already made in the tank base so I didn't have to drill that out to bolt the piece on. That was a lot easier than taking the grill bottom bracket off and fabbing one with a taller catch on it.

You're still missing something
You're right, two eggs and four rather than six bananas.

Which makes more independent variables that are NOT represented by algebraic substitutions above, which means that the equation is MATHEMATICALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO SOLVE, WITHOUT FURTHER INFORMATION.

Don't the eggs and bananas each equal 1?

Not if you're doing this algebraically.

What if we're talking money, and a bunch of bananas is $6, regardless of how many are in a bunch?

I know that's an assumption, but so is the concept the 3 eggs represents three, and 6 bananas represents six, if "three eggs" is x, and "6 bananas" is y, then there is nothing showing explicitly that 4 bananas represents 4. That an assumption too.

It is impossible to solve because we don't know what the cat is doing with the eggs. Live things are not a constant. Plus three cats... odds are there is a male and female so reproduction...

Just sayin', in the real world, there are more variables to consider so solving this seemingly overly simplistic question, may be missing any real world applications. Being good at logic and math doesn't mean squat if you can't APPLY that to real world...

It's not that I'm a hater of math or logic at all, just that the picture was not worth considering if it can't be applied to reality. Age has taught me that... and more.

I see it as more of a good mental exercise for someone in grade school. If someone wants to state "that's not the puzzle, you HAVE to limit yourself to what is presented", then my counter is, that's not what life is about.

So this asshat solicitor came by on a segway, trying to sell insecticide treatment... "spiders" and "wasps", but it won't hurt the bees. On the contrary he claims, it will kill the wasps that kill the bees so it saves the bees, safe because made from geraniums.

EXCEPT, that's a blatant lie. The active ingredient on the pamphlet is a neonicotinoid, which are banned in much of europe because it's highly toxic to most insects including bees while the wasps we have, are apparently more resistant to this poison because they still survive, to be the majority large(r) pollinators we have left in this area besides a few bumblebees and sweat bees, due to jerks like this guy, telling lies to sell it to so many of my neighbors.

It brings up the question, do Segways have serial #s on them?

Why are Euro cans 330ml? Is there some relevance to that number that makes it better than 333(⅓L)? 333 also makes it close 11.25oz, which is nicer looking than 11.2.
I never really noticed it before. I get some protein drinks from my medical insurance company. I opened one and pour it into a 12 ounce mug. When it didn't fill the mug, I looked at the carton ... 330ml, 11.15 ounces. Why 330? Why not 325 or 350 which would be closer to 12 ounces?
