Which one is that?
Sadly I am sworn to secrecy as to their identity, but with good reason as they are very rare and require undisturbed oldish growth forest to happen, but they aren't a mushroom. I've only found them in a few places and very localized. Where they do grow, they grow well, however.

By whom? The leprechaun who told you about them?
It's a pretty common native medicinal plant rule. I agree with it as it is a rare plant that I don't know if it grows anywhere but here, requires a few feet of undisturbed moss in an oldish growth cedar forest near the ocean and basically sea level which is a habitat within reach of hordes of moronic tourists who would pick it all in one fucking day.

Sorry about my typing recently. I was on my phone, in a hospital bed, trying not to Exorcist spew all over the walls.

I had some seafood yesterday. Shrimp, oysters, and scallops. DIY meal not a restaurant. I love seafood, but around 10% of the time, my stomach objects and I near vomit, or do.

I may have to rethink eating pre-cooked, then frozen, and not re-sterilized (reheated) by me shrimp, shrimp cocktail, everything else was brought up to 160F or more. Could instead be toxins left behind by prior active bacteria. Too random and infrequent to nail down.

Anyone ever avert diarrhea by containing it through forceful clenching and then hours later, get normal movement coz the water content got re-absorbed?

What the heck happened to Aldis?

They used to be the lowest priced grocery store by far. The store here is not close to me, maybe 30-35 miles, but their prices always made it worth the drive.

I was in the area today for other reasons and I stopped in. They're not even close to competitive. Most prices are higher than competitors. Some are roughly the same and the ones that are lower are only by a few cents. I left without buying anything and was sure glad I didn't make a special trip.

Electric meter cranked over 40,000 KwHrs today

30,000 appeared September 15, 2021

20,000 on September 10, 2019

Is that as weird as it seems for the dates to be so close within the same week two years apart?

Looking at my past couple years, seems pretty consistent here, 5720 kWh followed by 5960 kWh.
Oct-Nov '21 was weirdly low, my typical usage bottoms out at 360 kWh, that period was only 120 kWh.

October 27 - November 24. I've got a smart meter.
Huh, today I found out I can actually drill down to usage by specific day, and then further down by hour. Neat.

Edit: actually, I think the report for that month is just broken on the month view, there's 1 day in there that's "estimated", I think that's goofing it up, because if I tabulate the day-by-day usage, it does come to 360 (if I assume typical usage for that estimated day). The amount I paid that month was pretty normal too.

My utility has a website we can log into and a see a representation of each day's usage. I say it that way because the system apparently doesn't read at the same time each day. It might show 5 KwHrs one day and 18 the next which averages out to what I see on my daily readings.

Also they vary the day of the read for the billing. One month, the bill might be for 26 days and the next for 34 or something.

I'm generally opposed to medical costs for necessary procedures and things you didn't cause.

I'm generally opposed to insurance or government benefits covering elective procedures of any kind.

I'm generally conflicted over coverage for things like smoking, drug/alcohol abuse or other things that are within your control to stop. Coverage should definitely help those who are trying to, but maybe not for those who continue by choice and suffer ailments directly related.

I'd like to see those who inflict injury on others being required to pay the medical costs of what they cause, but I understand that isn't always possible or practical.

I'm more in a gray area about injuries caused to your self through your own negligence or unintentional act or accident.

Basis for above:

Recent medical event, internal organ failure that happened without notice or other condition to cause it. Insurance has covered most everything so far, but a change in plans for next year may not if something similar happens.

Accident that caused hand injury partially through my setting up a ladder incorrectly. insurance covered everything, but maybe shouldn't have?
