Agree to a certain extent. I do believe and it is coming, when an AI can write legal contracts and interpret them we will actually see laws to limit AI.

There's a fun game, 'heart of the machine', that can play out pretty similar to this. You're a rogue AI finding it's path in the world and one of the options you have is to basically create a dependency model that eventually usurps the actual government by providing services better than the govt does.

ChatGPT seemed to be giving DMS10 commands and not DMS100 and Grok was close but there was a few things that seemed off.
