I was Costco shareholder for longtime, and I regularly shop at Costco. So I know lot of stuff about Costco. Your Costco rebate check was never $1100 or even $800. The max Executive Membership rebate check right now is $1,000. And they only increased to $1,000 recently. It used to be $750 for the last couple of years. And for the longest time, the rebate check capped out at $500. I got close couple times at maxing it but never did. But several of my friends always hit the max at both Costco and Sams every year because they own small business and buy lot of items to resell from both clubs.

Spending $50,000 at Costco a year can be pretty easy if you own a business. Spending $50,000 a year for personal is pretty hard.

The above certainly looks more than $1,000. But maybe you were thinking of that small check and I the Costco Visa? And below shows how I keep my weight on at the restaurants.

Bought a bright hunter orange nylon ripstop rain poncho from Amazon.
$22 shipped.

Also picked up a survival blanket from Amazon for, oddly enough...$22 as well.

Both made by Arcturus Camo.

Think the poncho will come in handy for days when I wear my bright orange work hooded sweatshirt to work, and it suddenly starts raining.
(Like what happened to me yesterday morning, walking home.I work half-days,usually 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM.)

15 DVDs of childhood goodness.

I wish they were Blu-ray so their would be less discs to change, but that complaint is for the "first world problem" thread.

BTW, Amazon contracts with Pilot to do the TV deliveries and pickups. The pickup went smoothly and Amazon has already issued the credit to my CC. I see the item on their website has gone up past that of Costco's price. I did a mock checkout though and again Amazon is not offering any extended coverage on these LG OLED products. And if I order it off of Costco.com they are only offering an Allstate plan for three non-additional years. Unfortunately, I did not see anything being offered on the LG OLED products in my local Costco yesterday, which they normally have plastered all over the place. No idea what the life expectancy has been on these OLED products. I understand the technology just fine, but the manufacturing and reliability of Organic LED makes me wonder if it'll last as long as my LG plasma panel, which is sitting in my still [barely] working VIzio 50" plasma from 2008.

Speaking of Costco, they credited me the $400 difference between the current CX 65 sale price and what I paid in September. Nice considering the price match policy is only 30 days. The TV was great at $2250 but unbeatable at $1850. Should last me until it dies or burns in.

Roof rack cross rails for the Buick. Since GM discontinued the model, I figured I better get them while they're still available. The rails are custom to the car model (why, GM, why?) but will accept Thule attachments.

Well, tomorrow I hope to go pick one up and take it home. Did they offeer anything in the store for added warranty beyond LG's? I know what they offer people online.

I bought it online. I don’t own a vehicle large enough to transport it so shipping was convenient. I barely fit the 48 when I briefly owned one as a PC monitor.

We'll want a full review when you get it running. I'm eyeing the 3080 myself.

Just bought a dumbbell set and rack from Amazon. Only 150lbs (I'll probably never use the 5lbs...) but I've been waiting since March. Time to get swole brah!

Of the cuff, I figure I spend maybe $2500/year at Costco. Less this year because I'm not going every other week now because of the CV19. Hit them 2 weeks ago, first time since March. Spent over $500, all on staples and a few vitamins/supplements.

I ordered a 2nd Lenovo Thinkpad P1 a week ago. This one's a Gen 1, the new one will be the Gen 3. Got the most basic machine and ordered a 1TB NVMe and 32GB of RAM for it off Newegg, way cheaper than getting it configured like that from Lenovo. They really bleed you if you aren't up to upgrading yourself. None of it's arrived yet. They sell the same machine with next day shipping for ~$100 more, but fuck that.

I just got a new water heater!!!! I am so lame. Our old one was 20 years old and the amount of sediment was amazing. I learned a lot about plumbing by doing it myself, ended up costing the same as getting it installed because of all of the tools/accessories I got. I added an incoming sediment filter because sometimes our city water gets shit in it due to construction/etc.
DIY is good for the soul. I've done tons of it. I've accumulated a ton of tools over the years, tools and hardware. Funny thing is doing stuff yourself you learn a lot, and by the time you're done you know how. Then next time you need to do it you forget how you did it. I enter stuff in my data that helps me for Next_Time. Never replaced a water heater. I was fortunate to be blessed by a local agency who had a surplus budget one year and installed a tankless on demand gas system for free at my house. It's low maintenance, I should look into flushing it again, come to think of it. I've done that a couple of times since installation around 10 years ago. I don't use it a ton, mostly for showers and washing machine. I do my dishes in the sink with cold water 95% of the time.

I remember the time a B&W version was released 40 years ago.
I was completely unaware of them in the '80s but I was aware of the Mario and Zelda wrist watches by the end of the decade. Finally convinced my mom to buy me one at K-Mart when the new Super Mario Bros. 3 wrist watch came out but that was probably '90 or '91. Loved it! Found a Super Mario World watch on the side of the road a couple years later but my friend claimed it. It thought it was cool because it had a headphone jack but that would be pretty weird to use with a tether between your head and wrist. The Star Fox watch from Kellogg's Corn Flakes had a headphone jack too.

I got some Tetris and Donkey Kong keychain LCD games about 20 years ago that I assume are inspired by Game & Watch but that's also when I had the Game & Watch compilations on Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance.
