I have something similar that has a base. I use it in my bedroom on the dim setting, but it gets more than bright enough to use as a proper desk lamp. I'm really happy with it. I have two actually. Got them from meh, and I think they were about $20 for the pair.

$21 with shipping. They're only 5ah each, but I thought the price was decent for the power. My stay in the hospital made me realize I need extra compact power. Probably will never need them, but they'll be available if I do.

Not quite "just bought", but picked up an automatic Seiko watch when I was in Japan at the end of April. Nothing too fancy, but a nice little gift for myself.

You can also find them in Bic Camera stores (I think I saw the one I got for a little less than I paid at the Seiko Store; sometimes they also have coupons floating around online for extra money off beyond the tax discount).
Be forewarned, we went through a Bic Camera once, and it was a sensory nightmare. They definitely have a ton of stuff and it can be cool, but they were also always playing their stupid jingle, and the store is like a multi-level labyrinth. And some items in Japan are not necessarily cheaper than buying domestically (in the US).Thanks!
