Also Eliminating rain sensor's on Tesla so auto-wiper doesn't work.
Holy crap. That is actually a thing. Laughing my ass off.

These moves don't make any strategic sense, but I think it's safe to say their auto business is in deep trouble. Q1 was miserable, and somehow they went from 30%+ annualized growth (for years to come) to possibly no unit sales growth this year. But keep in mind with the BEV price wars, no unit sales growth means gross revenue is actually shrinking.

Tesla is facing two dire trends right now. In the U.S., Musk has basically alienated many of his core customers or potential customers (liberal minded voters who care about carbon emissions) while in China, he's facing an onslaught of cheaper competition. Besides dismissing Elon and hoping U.S. customers return, how can Tesla rejuvenate sinking demand?

I'm not necessarily a long-term Tesla bear (wouldn't touch the hype stock itself), but their industry position as of today is looking very shaky. Think about it, no company that's growing 15% YoY would axe 10% of its workforce when the global economy is stable. Well, except for Sundar Pichai probably.
I was wondering if this may finally break him and we learn he is checking into rehab or something - as an excuse for his behavior as of late. At some point it has got to connect for him that his antics is going to demolish his bottom line.

Dude has lost the pot.

Musk also said that any staffers working under executives who “don’t obviously pass the excellent, necessary and trustworthy test” would also get cut.

Dude has killed any chance of me getting a Tesla (we have solar so an electric car makes perfect sense). My wife has one, though my son somehow worked his way into driving it. None of their models are a perfect fit for what I need. Problem is, the other carmakers are concentrating on luxury electrics because no doubt that is where the profit is.

Also, working from home now I don't have a commute (weekend trips up to an hour or two are most of my mileage) so my paid-off gas car isn't exactly breaking the bank.

I even have trouble mustering enthusiasm for Space X due to this stain....and I'm a space enthusiast. Wish he'd sell both companies. At least he's not completely in charge of Space X.

I guess we're going to be pretty happy when Tesla fails and everyone gets laid off. That'll teach Musk a lesson he won't soon forget, if he actually cares.

I think most people in here would be pretty happy to see Mr. CEO Brainworms who is cosplaying as a less likable (somehow) Henry Ford complete with the jew hating ejected from his companies so they could be run by competent people without his egomaniacal interference.

^ This is how one concern trolls.

Elon fires tens of thousands of people because Elon got a bug up his ass but that's okay, he's the boss man.
You're mistaking sarcasm for concern. Tesla will live or die on it's own merits. Either way Musk will live a life of ease and luxury, it's all the people that work for him that will suffer.

But if you get rid of Elon, he can still live his uber luxury life and Tesla has a chance to succeed. He is a cancer.

I keep hoping the Tesla board acts soon on this but it seems that he has made sure the Tesla board is made up of a bunch of sycophants. Hopefully his pay package is voted down by Tesla shareholders and the plan to reincorporate in Texas.

SpaceX is going to be more challenging because Elmo has majority voting control. The only hope with that is that his behavior (drug use) forces a government intervention for national security concerns with SpaceX.

He's a rich guy on the spectrum playing with his toy's. His mistake was deciding to become a political animal. Clearly he doesn't care if his beliefs damage his company.

I don't doubt I'd think most of the CEOs out there are asshats.

I've worked off and on with executives for years, and being a bus-throwing-under lying deflecting douchenozzle is basically a requirement to reach that status.

Ignorance is bliss. Most of the other CEOs aren't out there proving it publicly.

Musk takes it up several notches. My first clue, not having paid attention to the guy, was his pedophile comment about the cave diver. I'm like, is this guy really trying to ruin some person who is attempting to save kids just because they didn't want to use his ridiculous suit or sub or whatever it was? And yeah, he was. He's gone downhill from there.

Yeah, his toy just happens to control thousands of people's lives.
Which is why he needs to go.

Still have some shares that I purchased a long time ago before all the splits happened. Just waiting to sell so I can vote no on Elmo pay package and the re-incorporation in Texas and then I am out. Not worth it.
You seem to have come around on Elon and Tesla. I don't remember you being a cultist but I do remember you being pretty bullish on Elon and Tesla a year or two ago. Is that you?

His continued BS over the last 2-years has convinced me that Elmo needs to go. I think Tesla would be a lot better company without him at the helm. He can still have his billions, just needs to go away. Not real found of Bezos either but at least he has a tendency to just hang out on his yacht. There is just constant BS now coming from Elmo.

Well it's good you came around and saw him for what he is. I know some of us were mean to Elmo back then, but turned out we knew what he was At least you are getting out before the big boom boom of Tesla exploding if he keeps running it.

Dude that hits straight home for me.
Can you imagine Elmo fucking up a Mars colony going on one of his tantrums?
