You did not understand. Thr 500A setting in the bios is the max amperage for the CPU which is like 1.1v or 550 watts, it has nothing to do with the power supply.
I caught hell from exist50 by telling him my 12700k was taking 300 watts under avx-512. He said that was outside of Intel spec, and impossible. I feel this is proof that I was right, even though I know it was, as thats what the kill-a-watt said !
Edit: I feel vindicated !
In 9950x or Turins ?? I will have both the first month they are available. Probably QS's for Turin on ebay, as I can't afford retail for those. My 9654 Genoa on ebay is retail and it was $4315. That about my max.
Thanks. I need either very fast and a lot of cores, or a massive amount of cores, and both need to run avx-512. Right now as we speak, I have 4 9554's and a 9654 and 7 7950x running avx-512 in primegrid. I don't even turn on my dual 7763 milans or my dual 7V12 Rome's for this, as they do crap...
What do you mean "if AMD get the performance crown" ? They already have it in everything except mobile, and thats a tie at the moment.
If you are referring to the fact that the 14900k won a few benchmarks, after the crashing thread, whatever doubt that AMD has the crown there is gone.
I was looking at 2p. 377 vs 556 is 47%, same place I got performance numbers and % from. And the 96 and 128 cores can't be ignored. I got my RETAIL 9654 for just over $4000. This not extreme high end. You are just twisting numbers and facts to suit your agenda.
