I bought the Crucial X10 Pro directly from Crucial's website a couple of months back.
First problem is my laptop took 1 min. longer to boot, something was up with that drive that caused it to cause POST delay. Then the drive just failed after I copied all my data to it within a few days...
Encrypting your disk has a big impact on performance by up to 45% ( see: https://www.ghacks.net/2023/10/20/report-bitlocker-slowing-down-ssds-on-windows-11-by-up-to-45/ )
Just got an Alienware m16 R1 (AMD) and it came with 2x WD PC SN820 in RAID 0
Why are there 0 reviews of this SSD online?
I took these benchmarks just in case anyone is interested both in RAID 0 and as a single drive. I am not sure why the Random 4K Read is slower in RAID 0
I contacted at the time of creating this thread telling them that my write speeds are half what they have been when I bought the drive and I barely used it and if there was any firmware update. Their response was they wanted me to send them the SSD to check it meaning I would pay an arm and a...
I have a 4TB My Passport exterrnal HDD, it is not encrypted, I can verify that by looking at the drive in Disk Management. Neither was any WD drive I had owned previously unless I'd intentionally encrypt it which I never do.

Here are the benchmarks from my WD_Black SN850X and SN770M
Love these WD_Black SSDs and I really like the Western Digital Dashboard more than any other SSD utility. It allows easy firmware upgrades even for the boot drive on the fly
Recently bought a Crucial X10 PRO, it made my laptop boot time 15 seconds slower, the laptop would just sit there at the BIOS splash screen for 15 seconds or so before the boot process starts. Boot priority was set to the Windows Boot ?Manager but something was weird with that drive as I never...
I have 2x32GB 5600MHz DDR5 Kingston FURY Impact memory on my Alienware m18 AMD which runs at 5200 MHz only but at a lower CAS Rating of 38 vs 40 as it shows in CPU-Z.
I just saw a post on Reddit from a guy who said:
This got me thinking, what would be better for snapinness/speed, a lower CAS...
I've had a 2T Samsung T5 Portable SSD for 5 year and it had worked like a charm.
I recently purchased a Dell XPS 15 laptop which only has USB Type-C ports but comes with a small Dell USB-C to Type A/HDMI Adapter so I plugged my T5 into it and used it for a while then I unplugged it using the...
I use dBpoweramp for lossless ripping of audio discs and I use Burnaware for making Audio CDs/Video CDs/Data CDs. They have a free version of Burnaware but dBpoweramp is paid (1 time fee for a perpetual license)
