XDNA 2 45 TOPs

Interesting. I don't see in the link what the poster on X shows in the screenshot. Either they fixed the leak or something is fishy. . .

Font seems to be different and they've duplicated the AMD Ryzen AI branding for the CPU name and combined TOPs naming. The row order isn't the same either but maybe they cropped the parts they didn't care about. Not sure, but seems fishy.
Maybe ASUS corrected it? It has been some hours since this was spotter by Harukaze

Could just have been an early upload someone caught and it got deleted.
Interns doing intern things.

Font looks exactly the same to me.
Why lie about something like that anyway? To fool me into being happy?

LNL is a different weight class, so who cares.
Besides, non-meme (aka general purpose) performance matters more anyway.
True, but remember that most consumers are people that looked only at the bigger number, like the GHz in the Pentium 4 era...

IIRC Zen 5 was originally projected to lose clocks versus Zen 4. Same clocks as PHX is actually quite excellent. It's a much bigger core.
Not saying it is actually a bad thing, only noting there was basically no regression and possibly there could be higher clocked parts (with better binning, it is quite probable)

Frankly 55W on a 12 core with 16 CUs is nothing short of miraculous if it's not power starved.
In fact, I said it was expected.
Has it?
I seem to recall that the 50 TOPS goal was set by MS. I don't recall any leaker stating that 50 TOPS was AMD's goal, I do remember 45 TOPS though? Maybe it's just my memory failng me.
I saw in the last month that several sources pointed to a 50 TOPS as a figure for the Strix Point NPU, probably because AMD said that they aimed for tripling the NPU performance, so it was 16x3=48 rounded up, it seems instead it was rounded down (possibly for reducing power consumption for basically a sticker feature)

I expect 33% CUs + 20% broad improvement in clocks (at least). So I'd bet around 60% more perf.
Same expectations, I would set the bar on the 60-70% range.

You think everything is about you, huh? Ok. . .

Anyway, I already said it could be that they fixed it after the screenshot, but the letters are definitely not the same. Look at the loops in the Ps and Rs. Upon another look though, it seems like they may have just stretched the image vertically at some point which would make the difference. Other people are confirming they saw it on the website too so it's not doctored, just seemed fishy given what I saw in the other post but there are explanations for what I saw so no big deal.

I clicked on the link before it was changed and indeed it went to the Asus site with the comparison (I checked on the address bar too). So probably some early data (not clear how reliable these were) that were taken down.

I was sarcastic, don't be silly.

Just your imagination wanting it not to be true.

Ryzen AI 9? Lmao. But to be fair, it was in front of us all along.

Still have doubts about how true the new name is
This marketing bit truly irks me.
"Entry gaming, casual gaming, high performance gaming, ultimate gaming"
Can you stop being silly for a second and call it:
"General use, gaming, high performance gaming, ultimate gaming"?
Yeah it makes it sound like Ryzen 5 is enough, but the thing is, it is enough. My 5600x has yet to disappoint.

Probably could replace "Enhanced audio and video quality" with something like "snappy desktop experience"...
And put "Game, stream and record at the same time" on Ryzen 7, and put "Game, stream, record at 4K 120Hz at the same time" for Ryzen 9, prop it up a bit.

If you can't see that the X post font is more elongated, not sure what to tell you but it's a simple explanation as to why. I'm fine with the discrepancies I saw turning out to be red herrings, not everyone on the internet is a narcissist.

Same page can render differently on two devices, especially when talking about fonts and different OS. That being said, even though I opened the URL a while ago and remember seeing the AI names, I'm not 100% sure they were there.

The new names are so aligned to the current madness that I didn't even question the leak.

Also a fair explanation. Others are saying they saw the same thing that is in the tweet so I think it’s safe to say the page was real. Could still be a mistake on whoever was entering the data instead of a “leak” but it wouldn’t surprise me if AMD follows Intel’s lead here either (as bad as it may be).

When will Zen 5 devices <1000$/€ expected to be in stores?
So, something like 8650? Is this from start, or later on?
There are now interesting devices with 8640, which seems like a good fit for me, but since I plan to keep the device 5-6 years, maybe I'd wait for Zne5, or maybe Snapdragon surprises me.
