F3 bios actually.... the original system was a 6th gen i5 CPU on a Gigabyte Z170X Gaming 3 mobo. She uses the PC for school so it had to be reliable. It started randomly freezing every few days or so which is what prompted the upgrade.

The M.2 is plugged into the board. I've tried all 3 of the M.2 connections with 2 different drives. The adapter thing is just what I used to check the drives on MY rig (not my daughters) to make sure they were working
This is a M.2 to USB converter. I only use it when I need to check things on a M.2 drive so I don't have to take my PC apart. I put the M.2 in the adapter and then plug it into the front USB of my rig

Yep... crashes/freezes on 2 sticks. It won't even boot with 4 in.... which in itself kinda ticks me off. Looking up the motherboard on the internet it seems as if this was a very common problem and gigabyte never addressed it
I had it running when I left for work tonight. It passed the first 2 tests and was 75% through test 3 and didn't show any errors.... I'm stumped. I do have a new 750 watt Corsair PSU coming just to rule that out
You think the CPU is overheating? I'm using a generic paste right now as I ran out of my Arctic Silver. I am using a CoolerMaster 212 heatsink (if I remember correctly)
