Well my things arrived, but it seems that I have a faulty memory module.

No matter what memory slot I place it in, I get a red error LED and no booting. With the other module, the computer boot just fine.

Could there be anything I'm missing?

Probably not, but you could use the original RAM to go back into BIOS and set defaults, then try again just to make sure some setting just doesn't work with the one module. The system should recognize the modules as new and set defaults, but I've seen weirder things happen.

I'm currently posting with 1x32GB and everything works fine. But lets see, I'll have to RMA anyways and put in the old memory no matter what :/

Hehe, I couldn't understand why so much space was used on my C:

Apparently, I had an old Google drive backup on ~200GB I could delete, so maybe I didn't really need an extra SSD

I've sent the memory back for RMA, so lets hope for a new functional kit.

Since my B350 board died, I have since replaced it with an MSI B550M Mortar Max Wifi. The board came with a pretty recent BIOS version, and so far everything is working smoothly. The bonus is that I get PCIe gen4 in that system now, as well as an onboard 2.5Gb Ethernet, so I can reuse my 2.5Gb Rosewill PCIe NIC in a different system.

No fears of power loss/BSOD? or do you have a backup solution?
The chance that I would be working on something I spent the entire day on and a sudden power loss happening are very slim. Off the top of my head, I can recall maybe three power losses in my workplace building in my 16 year history with the company.

Those 90 unexpected power loss events? That's probably someone else at the end of the day shutting down my PC with a hard power off.

I closed a deal on a 5600X3D on another forum, so if all goes well I should have it early next week. I have wanted one since I first read about it being released. The rarest Zen 3?

Taking this opportunity to redo one of my CoolerMaster nr200 builds. Moved the SFX PSU to the front making for better cable management and much more room around the board. Reinstalling my RX 6800, and I'll be swapping from a 120mm AIO that just had the pump die, to a Peerless Assassin SE. Air cooling FTW. That means my best timing 3600MTs 32GB kit will be too tall, so a CL19 kit of Viper II gets the job. Otherwise I think the fan on the cooler will stick up too high, keeping me from closing the vented side panel. I don't know if I will ever even unbox the glass side panel that also came with it. Zero cares to give showcase stuff, you lose a tiny bit of height with it from what I've read, and there goes all of that ventilation the other side panel provides.

If I'd known you were looking for a 5600X3D I would have sold you mine. I've been trying to sell a 5600X3D/b550/RTX 3060/3600 C16/1TB build I put together in an NR200 for $800. I don't even think I've received a reply to my ad. I guess I should have expected a non RGB build would sit even with a reasonable price.

The PA will still work great on that thing without the front fan if you want to run your faster memory kit. A Scythe Fuma 3 comes with better fans and has zero memory clearance issues. if you haven't bought the cooler already, and want to min-max the cooling/memory combo, it might be worth a look. It costs a bit more but ideally the fan(s) should be replaced on the PA SE anyway. If the Thermalright fans don't have noisy bearings out of the box it's highly likely they will sooner than later.

FYI, the Phantom Spirit SE is an updated improvement on the PA SE if you aren't already aware. Has 154 mm height so no issue there. I've had several of each and the PS is a slightly better cooler. The PA is still solid though.

I had a WTB thread here in the for sale/trade forum. You can see it , but it is hidden to n00bs and has prerequisites for post count and maybe time too? to see and use it, hence traffic is terrible here. I got almost literally 1000 times the views and found someone willing to sell theirs over at TPU. If you end up having to part out the system, shoot me a private message. As upgrading most of my AM4 builds to 3D might be the meta.

Where are you selling your build at? If you have it listed on r/hardwareswap and haven't gotten a bite? that's crazy. Because that's a really solid price. Especially if you are including a quality SFX PSU. I was hoping it was a fad, but here we are in 2024 and it still seems to be the case that "RGB sells PCs" SMDH.

I picked up the PA SE for $30 last year for my son's PC. It's been a champ, so I didn't even look at other coolers. It is already here, so probably just going to use it. That Phantom Spirit SE does look like a winner though, and the price is close. That'll teach me not to look around first.

And thank you for the helpful and most excellent advice.

I just have it listed on my local CL. I usually don't have trouble selling on there so I'm not sure what the deal is. I'm sure someone will hit me up eventually. Sometimes you just have to wait for the right buyer.

I have an older corsair 600w SFX in there. I'm kind of over RGB mostly but it seems like most other people are still into it.

When did Phantom Spirit SE hit the market ???
( ashamed I paid twice as much for a NH-D15 - but that was at least 4 years ago )
I have the D15 myself. It is a backup for when the pump dies on the AIO I have in my full tower. Got it used here in the for sale forum for a good price a ways back. Great cooler, but yeah these new ones have changed the bang for buck in a good way.
Sometime last year I think. I'd only go with the SE if you need the shorter height like @DAPUNISHER does in the NR200 case. The Phantom Spirit 120 EVO is the one to get IMO.
If I didn't have the D15 I'd buy that now as backup. Just as with storage, buy when you know the prices are rock bottom because it probably won't last. I suspect we will price check that EVO some day and it'll be $60.

Noctua stuff can be a solid buy used. The new prices are insane IMO. They really need to adjust to market reality on their pricing. Many of their fan designs are dated and their heat sinks probably also need a refresh. Their development moves at a snails pace. A12's are still great fans but they aren't worth $15 more than a Be Quiet silent wings 4. A d-15 isn't worth $80 more than a Thermalright frost commander. The name rep is only going to take them so far. I think they're failure to adjust their pricing will cause them to slowly become irrelevant.... which is kind of sad considering the high quality and excellent customer service they offer. I'm not saying the quality doesn't merit a premium for their coolers over Thermalright, but its hard to justify the entire price difference based on performance.

I bought my EVO right around when they first released it to the US market the end of last year. I paid $50. I'd buy it again for that. It's a no brainer at its current price. The Thermalright stuff fluctuates a bit. I think they jack prices up when/if stock gets low on a particular SKU. I'd prefer they made less variants and kept prices more consistent. I also wish they'd switch exclusively to the gentle typhoon clone fans they use on the EVO for all SKU's.

The 5600X3D should keep this build going a few years

I just picked up another 5800X3D BNIB for $210 shipped from an most excellent member here. I highly recommend starting a wanted to buy thread in the for sale/trade forums on popular tech sites if you are looking for Zen 3 CPUs. Who knows how long I would have had to keep looking to find one? Whereas making it known I was buying resulted in sellers finding me.
