In the case of a company like Nvidia no its not. Nodes are a bit more expensive but just look at what their competitors are doing in terms of tech and node. Compare them to Nvidia's current scheme of super-huge monolithic dies on an architecture that is basically 6 years old with dual issue fp32 bolted on the side.Just to remind that product prices include the R&D cost which is getting higher each year.
And that's all without considering the fact that their margins are higher than ever. That literally means prices are going up after things like R&D are factored in.
