Question Best $10-20 used graphics card on eBay for old PCs?

Any ideas on what the best performance/price is on used $10-20 full-height graphics cards?

Nvidia GT 710 tends to run for $20, but I see AMD R7 250 is close to $10 and R9 350 is $17. Seeing if there's any other better options out there.

With this budget I'd say buying Tarot cards and looking at them being pretty is a better investment.
Or literally any modern APU.
What's your use case here? If it's just "any GPU", then whatever's cheapest and still boots is the best?

Yeah, what's the objective here, and what CPU are you pairing with it.

Why not a GT 1030 for $40-50 (used)? I realize that's double your price range, but it's basically the lowest-end card that can still play games, and still has current driver support.

With some gumption and working the best offers etc you can probably swing a RX470 or GTX1060 for $20.

Would require some hunting but just checking the listings I'd bet you could nab something.

4th gen Intel Haswell CPUs. No gaming, just cheap cards to upgrade from Intel integrated graphics as it doesn't meet minimum requirement for an imaging app. GT 710 works fine, just seeing what other dirt-cheap options with better performance there might be.

Yup, don't want to put much money into upgrading 10 older computers to get by for another year or two. Pretty amazing that an RX 580 comes in at almost the same price as a GT 710, lol. Any suggestions for cards that don't require a PCI-E connector?

This is a good question, I was recently looking at some cheap cards that could be used as a bare minimum GPU in a server/NAS with no integrated graphics. Possibly check out some cheap Quadro cards on ebay.

You can probably get a 1030 for around $30 if you shop around. It's new enough (came out around the same time as Polaris) and AMD's FSR can be used on it to give it slightly longer legs if someone really wanted to try gaming on it.

What are these minimum requirements, and what imaging app?

The thing about cheap video cards is there are often two camps of sellers.

On the one hand, there are sellers pricing them like they think people are desperate to get the same thing they had, outlandish prices that make no sense because they are priced even higher than newer cards with more performance.

On the other hand, there are lot of cards out there worth little more than $20 and then half again that much for shipping.

If you don't want a PCIe connector, I'd consider something like a GTX 750TI. While not a night and day difference, it's a bit faster than a 1030, and yet, the 1030 being two generations newer, should have more future driver support, but right now 750ti is still supported and if these are old systems, how much future windows OS versions worth of support is really needed?

I bought a 1060 off ebay not too long ago. You might get lucky and win a middle of the night auction but otherwise, $40 +S/H was about as cheap as the 3GB version gets, and around $50 +S/H for 6GB ver. Granted, both are over 75W so need PCIe connector power input.

That auction has over two days left, is probably going to close around $70 delivered.
