i have a budget of 1000 pounds ($1200) and saw a bunch of reveiws online with the components of the build but idk how it will work together so i hope u guys can help me
yeah im from the uk and i want to use it for gaming and content creation and probually 1080p and 144hz?? (im kinda new to pc stuff but hopefully im saying it right)Pounds, I assume you're in the UK?
What are you planning to use this for? If for gaming, what resolution & refresh rate are you looking for?
ty sm this helps alot
This is your list in PCPartPicker. I think there are probably some important changes you're going to need to start:
1) CPU: Consider AM5 instead of AM4. AM5 will at least have 1 more generation of CPUs, if you ever want to upgrade in the future. AM4 won't see anything further
2) DDR4-4000 is probably a waste. You really only need up to DDR4-3600 if you're running an AM4 system; I believe the "official support" also tops off at DDR4-3200.
3) Consider adding a CPU cooler instead of using the boxed cooler
4) You need a storage device, like an NVME drive
5) Why mITX in an ATX case? You could probably save some money just finding an mATX or ATX board.
6) I think your PSU is underspec'd for a 4070 Super.
Edit:
I'd probably do something like this for AM4: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/fp2V89
(Fixed the issues noted above, changed the video card to something comparable, but cheaper, and the build is cheaper, just a hair over 1000 GBP)
Maybe something like this for AM5: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/Gp2V89 (about 100 GBP more, but gives you a little bit more future upgradeability for the processor)
That's fine to hear. 1080 resolution and up to 144 Hz for refresh rate means you could probably stand to step back on the GPU a little.yeah im from the uk and i want to use it for gaming and content creation and probually 1080p and 144hz?? (im kinda new to pc stuff but hopefully im saying it right)
sorry i misread the hz wrong i was reading my laptops hz but the monitor im looking to get is 240hz dose that affect the build? That's fine to hear. 1080 resolution and up to 144 Hz for refresh rate means you could probably stand to step back on the GPU a little.
For AM4, you could consider this setup: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/892V89 (I swapped the GPU with a 7700 XT) - this will set you back about 930 GBP
For AM5, consider this one: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/HVGqfy (1030 GBP; again, swapped the GPU to the 7700 XT)
Also, be sure to budget a little for the OS. Presumably, you'll want a Windows license.
Further, depending on the game, you might even consider stepping back further on the GPU - you could find a new 6750 XT for ~310 GBP, saving about 80 GBP vs the 7700 XT
If you have a system capable of gaming at >80 FPS, you probably won't notice much of a difference with increasing frame rate, especially if you have a monitor with some sort of sync setting (like FreeSync).sorry i misread the hz wrong i was reading my laptops hz but the monitor im looking to get is 240hz dose that affect the build?
ok thanks alot u hav been extreamly helpfulIf you have a system capable of gaming at >80 FPS, you probably won't notice much of a difference with increasing frame rate, especially if you have a monitor with some sort of sync setting (like FreeSync).
