The point I am making this happens in all of society. A society which has mostly strayed from religion and turned to atheism as some sort of salvation.

We are doomed.

Yet, every single day a public school teacher is arrested in America for child molestation, rape, sexting, etc., including those hot teachers everyone cheers for. The irony is those teachers also usually happen to be atheists.

I like how he assumes educators are atheist in his whataboutism. We dont have to assume churches are religious, but you can’t assume child predators in an education system are atheist, especially when quite a bit of the USA is very heavily influenced by religions

In my opinion this thread is filled with people who come down on one side or the other on the delusions created by opinions on the nature of religion. There are those who see the positive values that belief in a higher moral authority bring and those who see the damage done in the name of religion. Both opinions are correct and neither is the whole story. Truth is always a third way requiring the integration of opposites at a third level of understanding, one that requires the death of ego and again in my opinion is quite rare.

I would say it's for the same reason why you constantly bring up how superior you are not to fall for the trolling that others are so susceptible to, that like you, they have superior minds and need to express that fact to people with differing but inferior opinions but in a different way.

Have you considered that while good and evil don’t exist, believing that they do will create a mind set that evaluates one’s opinion of one’s self worth as relative to one’s commitment to being good oneself and that what ‘the good’ for such a person will be codified into a sort of cosmic certainty that whatever the form that belief takes, based on time and place of one’s culture, it will deeply root in the psyche based further on the fact that because we can distinguish between pleasure and pain, we also know that certain behaviors lead to tragedy and others to joy?

If so then we live a world full of individuals who imagine that whatever they believe is the truth and all differing in some way and some other people, having seen through the delusion of duality, who all have in common the fact they believe in nothing at all. And whatever the psychic condition the latter might live in it would be whatever a human being can become who is free of conditioning and that those of us who are conditioned would have no idea at all of what that might be.

Consideration of such thoughts in my opinion should produce a desire to exercise humility in the judgment of others or at least an appreciation for humility.

If evil is real than surely you can tell me what it is. Please add proof your definition is correct. For words like 'the opposite of good' please define what good is.

EDIT: Remember, also, that what I have said is that the idea that evil exists is based on believing it does and where that belief exists what you want to insist is evil will manifest as behavior. We all have experienced pain and suffering and have been told in one way or another we deserve it and deserve it because we were evil. And the only way to survive that was to surrender real self respect and adopt a phony ego. I come along and tell you that you were never actually evil, that there is no such thing, which, if you were to take that seriously would mean you would feel the rage you felt and were never allowed to express at being made to feel worthless originally. To have done that as a child would have brought on more suffering until you finally broke, something you want never to go through again so all of a sudden it's me who appears to be evil. We do not want to know that we died as children as the only way to survive or that everything we fear has already happened. Sorry, but you were never evil. You just had to buy that lie. Now you no longer have to. All that pain and nobody to blame and all there is is to forgive. But joy awaits waking from that nightmare I hear tell.
