This has been happening ever since I did a clean install. I'm on Linux Mint 19 Cinnamon I think... whatever was the latest a few months ago.

Basically when I go to bed and I come back the next day I will find that I've been logged out of a bunch of sites, but not all of them, it's very hit and miss, and VERY annoying. I thought it was maybe Facebook Container extension that caused it, but I disabled it, and it's still doing it. I don't really have that many extensions, and I've always had these same extensions before and it never did this. Ublock and Privacy badger. Anything I can do to stop it from doing that? Even if it's left running it still does it.

See if these add-ons help.

I think I experienced this problem a couple of months ago. I dimly recall it was related to some privacy changes that they made.

Try going to about:config and change the setting for privacy.purge_trackers.enabled to false to see if this makes a difference.

It probably starts with v75 since March 2020

So that extension did not work unfortunately. And it's not ALL cookies that are being deleted, it's just some. Like I never lose my login for AT for example, but I lose Youtube, Reddit, Facebook etc. It seems to be hit and miss too, sometimes I can go a few days, but lately it's been more aggressive and happening every single night.

I'll try to set purge_trackers to false and see... though I hate that it can't just purge the trackers without actually killing the login session. Ex: make it stop tracking me on other sites but if I go on that actual site then still keep the cookies.

I got 2 copies of Firefox installed, one is normal C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox installation and the other is from PortableApps.com under a portable drive folder.

When I tried to install Forget Me Not add-on on the normal version, it would not let me click the icon on the toolbar, it was dimmed, and another Multi Account Container add-on even though is installed, it won't show it's icon on the toolbar, yet the portable version worked fine for both add-ons.

I had to create a new profile and delete the Default profile to make normal version of Firefox to have both add-ons to show properly on the toolbar.

Firefox probably is really bug-ridden, I guess.

Yeah guess I will try another profile. I already have multiple clean profiles I use for when I want to test stuff such as multiple users into an application so I logged into FB on one of those just to see if it stays logged in tomorrow. Though that profile has zero extensions so if I do make a new profile I'm still going to want to use adblocker etc. Hopefully it's not one of those causing an issue. I've used those extensions for a long time though so it's weird it only started this now.

This seems to have magically went away... not sure if that extension I installed is working, maybe it just took a while to kick in.
