Hi, Okay, i guess SteamOS is kinda BigTech too, as valve is not small. But at least it is a private company and the operating system is open source..
As topic says, i am too tired of big tech companies screwing me from infront and from behind. So ive decided(Not just decided, ive actually deleted windows) Iam using Yumi to try out different Linux Distros without having to make a new usb boot disk every time. It works great. But for the steamOS story it is the place i ran into an issue. Since Valve is only sharing .img of their steamOS, and Yumi like iso's best..
So after trying to copy the img, and getting it too kinda boot, it just halted i made a new usb bootdisk, just for steamOS. It works, although under all the booting part of it, all the text is coming sideways on my screen (Guess it has something to do with it thinking it is a steam deck..
Anyways, i get into desktop and got to to click a few buttons and have a little look around before it froze, and now it it freezes every time i get into desktop. Cant do anything. And i only have this img file to go on.. What should/or can i do to get this thing going?
I really wanted -steamOS to work flawlessly. And ideas what do to do?
The system iam installing it on is a AMD Asus B450 atx motherboard with a Ryzen 5 3600 cpu, Evga Nvidia 3060ti
And the os is installed on a M2 Nvme drive from samsung
Iam also running ram in dual mode at 3200mhz.
I have no fast boot or anything like that on, any other settings that can interfere?
