One of the features that have been removed from the Windows 10 OS is the control panel. But this is not entirely true. While the primary way to change the settings in your PC rests with the settings tab, people can find it tough to navigate an entirely new app while they were so used to the old control panel. The control panel app now rests deep within the settings, but it can be discovered easily as well.
So, here are steps to find the control panel app in Windows 10.
Step 1
Open 'Cortana'
The easiest way to search for anything in your Windows 10 OS is by using Cortana. Click on the circular button at the bottom left corner of your screen and the Cortana tab will open.
Step 2
Search for 'control panel'
At the bottom of the Cortana tab, there will space to type a question. Type the words ‘control panel’ and hit the enter button. This will set a search for the control panel tab.
Step 3
Open the 'Control panel' app
At the top of the Cortana app, you will see the Control Panel icon displayed, click on it. This should successfully open the control panel app and by using it you can tweak the settings of your system.
While the Settings option is easier to find and holds the same option, it is understandable as to why people may still prefer the old. Remember to pin the Control Panel app to your taskbar for easy finding the next time!
