Cortana is of great help when it comes to using your Windows 10 either hands free or in a much faster way. In the following tutorial you will learn some of the ways to do it on your computer and phone by simply pressing the Cortana button and then doing it as a voice command. Follow these simple steps and you will be on your way with the reminders in a heartbeat.
With Voice Command
Step 1
Open 'Cortana'
Click on the ‘Cortana’ logo and open the Cortana menu. Cortana’s icon is usually found on the bottom left corner of your computer screen and will very likely replace the ‘Start Menu’ in newer editions of Windows.
Step 2
Tell Cortana what you want
Once the word command is turned on, you can use the microphone on your Laptop or cellphone to tell Cortana what you need, and it will translate it into an appointment or command. Once you are done, you can simply say ‘OK’. Note that if you have a Windows phone and a Windows computer all tasks given to Cortana will appear on both.
Manually with the keyboard
Step 1
Choose 'Notebook'
Click on the 'Cortana' logo on the bottom-left corner of your Windows 10 and choose ‘Notebook’ from the menu. Clicking on the Cortana logo will pop-up Cortana´s menu and once you click on ‘Notebook’ a side panel will come to the right.
Step 2
Choose 'Reminders'
Click on the ‘Reminders’ option on your ‘Notebook’ menu. Doing this will populate another menu to the right side of the screen.
Step 3
Enter the new reminder
Click on the ‘+’ sign on the bottom left and enter manually the new reminder you need. Just save the changes and the same appointments will appear on your Windows phone.
You can repeat this same procedure every time you need to make a new appointment or set a different reminder.
