But with 33% more VRAM, better RT and pretty good Stable Diffusion performance. For anyone that values those things more, it's an easy buy over the 6700 XT.

I really think the A770 should drop further in price by year end, especially if Alchemist Refresh comes out.

EDIT: Forgot to mention AV1 decoding.

-Also important not to oversell the RT performance of Intel.

A770 is neck and neck with 6700xt at 1080p and 7% ahead at 1440p. So I wouldn't see RT as a huge win here, especially with the raster deficiency (AssCreed launching with no RT support at all in 2023).

That said, I think AMD is making a big mistake if they don't see Intel as a huge competitor in the space.

If Intel gains traction, they're not going to take NV's marketshare (I don't think anyone can do that with the way NV is executing) but they will absolutely demolish AMD and the two will be left fighting for the scraps of marketshare NV leaves behind.

AMD needs to nut up and stop with their summer child free for everyone second rate software support and third rate RT performance in upcoming gens. Intel clearly has their number with XESS and RT and as those techs become more important I can see Intel eating much of AMD's lower end share with battlemage and even moving up to their mid-range with celestial (or whatever).

AMD seems to be in a constant state of underinvestment in software, although the question is how much they can afford to spend given the higher market share and GPU income of Nvidia. It's honestly rather strange that regulators allow this kind of domination and don't kneecap Nvidia in some way to allow AMD & Intel to catch up.

Yeah they should force nGreedia to license their tech out, just like Intel was forced to have the x86 licensing arrangement with AMD.

@DAPUNISHER have you tried the most recent driver?

Good performance boosts for F1 23 and Forza. Starfield also seems like it’s finally fixed.

Starfield is miles better. It was basically unplayable in certain areas of the game before. Performance isn't where it probably could be. Between the driver team and game patches it should get better in time for the holidays.

Aussie Steve with timely content. It's for the A580 but with there being several A750s for under $200 at the moment, it steals the show.

So where are we at on the sliding scale of Raja now: Clown to Savior, given what we know about the issues Arc faced (lot of software issues, still has some utilization issues as die is huge and has a lot of execution units but performs lower relative to its size) where does he land now?

On one of those glowing head or glowing eyes meme, he currently is on the second slide/box.

A $600 build featuring the A750 -

Good to see more tech tubers using ARC. On Starfield: It gets better with every game patch and driver. I have no trouble playing now. Use a frame cap and 85% res scaling with FSR and I have no trouble that way. FYI: you may experience bad performance due to the game menu bug, so set it and forget it. Then restart the game and play on.

I would have avoided the 4 core. Make compromises elsewhere to hit your algorithm loving $600 target.

Which brings me to what really grinds my gears. The idea that you can't use ray tracing at this budget tier. Tech tubers act like it's all or nothing. I use RT reflections and a little XeSS or FSR no issues. Still looks and plays well in 2077, Witcher 3, and Spiderman MM. That's why I'd have avoided the 4 core. The single thread performance isn't enough with RT on. Hell, for some newer games, it isn't enough period. Particularly on a real gaming PC with all of the usual programs and OS bloat; not a clean install.

@H433x0n

Getting the best Starfield experience I have had to date on the A750. Latest 4952 WHQL.

The bad: Still has the settngs bug, where after exiting the menu, either performance tanks at the same time it looks like it's running 50% res scaling. Or certain settings I use will have graphical issues like flickering, or alternatively some lighting sources turning to a blue tint. I have to exit the game and restart to fix it.

The good: This game went from completely broken. To using 50% FSR and low settings to get a blurry but sort of useable experience. To fully playable at 1080 low with just a little FSR. To now running 1080 native, medium settings with VRS and never dropping below 30fps. That's at MAST where everyone tests because it's so demanding. Most often it's mid 40s to mid 50s which is fully enjoyable with a controller. Here's a SS of the spot that hits the lowest FPS -

The best and most surprising result so far, is that I am down to 160W power limit without affecting boost clock, performance, or stability. I'll keep testing until I find the bottom for gaming.

LOL so I am a big dummy, and completely missed the point of the question concerning Starfield performance. I have been playing the game pass version on ARC which is not included in the beta. I dumbly presumed that the game had simply been patched like usual. I guess that's still a couple of weeks out.

I will download the beta on Steam now and see how it goes.

At present this patch is bad news for ARC. That same area in MAST is 26-27 fps where it was 31-32 fps. I had to use FSR and 75% to get similar fps.

Not cool that they didn't include XeSS support either. I might try out the mod for that.

Impulse bought the ARC 750 Limited Edition last night. I don't game but I wanted something faster than my 13600K igpu for Topaz AI and PureRaw. $200 was too hard to pass up.

Deeplink should work a treat with Topaz.

That is the ability to use both the iGPU in my 13600K and the ARC 700, right? Does that happen automatically or is there software that needs to be installed/configured?

I got tired of waiting for like a minute or two to process one photo!

Installation was seamless, no issues. Everything worked first try.
The hardest part was fitting it into my mATX case/motherboard. Took some time and effort but I finally got it in there.

Yes, Topaz definitely works "a treat!" With UHD770 it was around 1fps or less, now with both (Arc 750 and UHD770) it's around 8 fps.
Increase in PureRaw was huge. I have 4 ARW raw files from my Sony A6300 I use for testing processing time.
13600K CPU - 472 seconds
UHD770 graphics from 13600K o/c to 2GHz - 398 seconds
ARC 750 LE - 64 seconds

Loving this!

Added Spiderman Remastered and Halo Reach. Reach has major graphical rendering issues with the latest drivers. I saw that the game used to have unplayable FPS. That wasn't an issue but the horrible rendering issues make it unplayable.

Spiderman looks and plays great with XeSS Ultra Quality. Mix of high and med. settings. RT reflections on high with distance on the default 6. TAA and MSAA are a hot mess; with these drivers anyways. Unstable and terrible image quality. XeSS is far better, particularly with brick walls and windows.
