Joining Team Ukraine to show support?

I'm running it on Mint, a dual E5, will bring another online soon.
I just signed up with the team then switched, the machine did the rest
I first tried some gpu's but it's not optimized for the newer ones, so it was barking, then switched to the cpu's

Appreciate the info on MLC. Now that XS and TAAT don't compete against each other in Formula BOINC the only way I can throw shots at you guys is when I see Bluestang post stuff over at [H] (I don't intend any malice towards Bluestang, but that really is my only interaction with XS recently is seeing his posts over on [H] occasionally)

You know I have always told them I don't have the history they have.
I chose to go into overclocking for XS back in the day, but later switched to crunching.
So some of the grudges or feelings are over my head.
I always like to look forward, not back.
I speak what i say, sometimes to fast, but always try to appreciate both sides.
Have to respect people just being themselves especially since i always step in something from time to time.

I'm in a similar position - I ran DC projects a long time ago but then just got back into it in December 2019. I don't always know the history or backstory on stuff.

I just threw 256 threads towards MLC(it will have to finish some Primegrid tasks first though, but a small amount)

Live your own life and make your own decisions, but I say stuff I shouldn't and post stuff i shouldn't all the time and have never been scolded for it by our TeAm. We have no members on our private forum that block other members that I'm aware of, and no internal arguments like that. I'm honestly shocked by that 'what to do during WCG intermission" thread on the XS forum where you're basically getting told to F Off by teammates. Sorry for bringing that into this thread, and I'll drop it at that, but if I had an XS forum membership I'd want to jump in and tell those guys to F off

Any sub-project settings to be aware of? I don't run these projects normally.... Any change to the PG settings for GPU only after the Prime race?

Does the team A.I. have any recommendations for setting on MLC [haha, HAL you got this ! ] or PG GPU WU points?

2nd edit , since HAL is "working", or taking a well deserved vacation , it appears that the Prime Grid challenge is still ongoing for a few days, so I will switch whatever helps team UkRaInE with DC WUs after that. Hopefully others can share what too shift towards and sub-project settings then!

OK, I should just make my position clear.

First, what Russia is doing is just trying to annex another country by attacking/destroying it. This is so wrong, I don't know how to say anything else. I support the Ukraine. This is the 21st century, not the medieval times. Russia needs to grow up.

As for joining their team to show support, they don't appear to do F@H, and I am not doing any other projects other than WCG (down) and Rosetta (essentially down), so aside from my verbal support, I can't help.

I also support those who do ANYTHING to support them, I am just not in a position to help.

I hope I have not angered anybody.

Hey Mark, I totally respect whatever you decide.

I've found out that "we" can select these projects on a team by team project basis. So for example anyone can run FaH for example on just GPUs for a project (and select not to run CPUs on it for the most part... Still set aside enough cpus to support the gpu for Fah for example) and then pick a different project different "Team" affiliation to another team such as UkRaInE or other and on the same "CPU" still crunch for another team. You do you and I'll let it be known that I do follow your "Mark's" Medical research effort on this TeAm greatly! I've said it before, but it was from reading "Markfw"'s posts on the overall AnandTech forums (Not even on the DC sub-forum) than led me into this RaBbIt WhOle! So thank you

Imagine seeing members from all over the community and the world crunching on their team.
It isn't about the amount of points you contribute or positions taken, but the action that it shows!

That matters, It represents community support.

I was looking for a way to support Ukraine and a team member came up with this idea.
I am a 2ng generation American and my great grandparents come from Poland and Czechoslovakia.
This is not only very rewarding but personal.
