Imagine a giant drone with a house on top of it, now imagine there's a earthquake which triggers to house/drone to fly until the earthquake is over.

The web says the average house weighs 120k#. You'd only need two Super Stallions to lift it. The birds would have to be heavily reconfigured, but that's less than I thought it would be.

The problem with this is forecasting earthquakes, which is difficult.

I suppose politician private jets could qualify as flying houses. They have pretty much everything they need on there to live very luxeriously. Wouldn't be surprised if they have food rations where they could survive for a few days or weeks if there's some weird global emergency of sorts and they find themselves having to divert and land somewhere remote.

For earthquakes I think the only real solution is to just design houses that can survive it. Try to decouple them from the ground as much as possible. But then that makes them unsafe from hurricanes and tornadoes... so guess you have to pick what the highest risk in your area is and build against that.

While you are thinking about flying houses, please also find some brain time for solving the "money" problem (no money no sadness), universal equality no matter who you are or what your abilities or education level are, humanity focused on saving lives instead of "defending" stupid ideals by killing people in their neighboring countries etc.

And oh, how can everyone in the world get a decent PC with 7800X3D or 9800X3D with 7900 XT 20GB and 64GB DDR5-8800 CL36 RAM so we have a nice baseline for improving graphics realism going forward. (And no, Nvidia is banned).

Balloons would use less energy. Maybe balloons with some kind of gyroscope to keep the house from wobbling.

your math is off. if a house weighs 120 000 lbs that is about 55 000 kg / 16 000 capacity so you would need 4. plus rigging weight. so maybe 5 actually.

It has 50 ton total payload(33.6 internal, 16.3 external) unless you get one or the other. I'm not familiar with aircraft.
