Replacing the RX6600 XT

Hi everyone,
I'd like to replace the RX6600 XT but I don't know what to buy
I have a smaller PC, builded it last year and I was disappointed after I found out, there is no 8K60 HZ support for Linux
But now, thanks God, nVidia released a driver for Linux, with 8K60Hz support

I will sell the Radeon RX6600 XT but I'm not sure what to buy
No gaming at all.
Web browsing, a lot of YouTube, Google Earth, watching some movies, pictures, and stuff like that.
What about the RTX 3xxx Serie?
Would you recommend something like RTX 3060 Ti or should I buy the RTX 4060 Ti?

8K60Hz

Why do you need 8K anyway?

I run a 3060 in my laptop w/ a 4K120 screen and it works fine. Mind you I upgraded the panel myself to a higher spec than it shipped with specifically because I can't stand using FHD ratios anymore. I was aiming for mLED though but, after several failed attempts at sourcing such a panel I settled for the one I have now.

Most of the hype around GPUs though is for gaming nerds that have deep wallets. The xx60 is a good middle ground option when it comes to specs and performance. Anything more is just debt and bragging rights.

I haven't bothered keeping up with the differences between 3 and 4 series GPUs though to say one way or another which if the better buy though the whole issue with the power delivery on some 4 series cards would cause some hesitation in moving in that direction. It does seem some of that has worked out with reworking the connectors on both sides though to a point. There's still news cycles though mentioning this or that about power so, do some homework on specific cards so you don't get surprised by your new $1500 door stop later down the road.

I am confused...it says you have a 4090 in your signature, how is that not for gaming? Now if you just need a GPU for a display out, maybe get a 3050.

Ok I think I got it now. You do gaming just not on this PC in question. What display is this PC connected to, and by what connection?

No gaming?
Then a mere RTX 3050 should support 8K60Hz over HDMI.
Even a GTX 1630 can do it over DisplayPort.
Why pay for more if you're not gonna use it?
If you're not in a hurry maybe wait for a RTX 4050 if you want AV1 encode or some other new features.
