Question repurposing a big flat screen TV - as a coldframe?

Back in the day, I remember folks taking a TV, cleaning the inside of the tube of phosphors, and using the TV as an eyecatching aquarium, terrarium, or what have you.

My son messed around with a roughly 55" TV, and couldn't get it working.
I find myself wondering, can you take a newer flat screen TV like this, open it up, then scrape the glass with a razor blade or something, and use it as glass for a cold frame, or something similar?

I've never tried it, but I have wanted a coldframe for a while.....

What do you think - possible or not?

Err no, I don't think there are any flat screen TV with glass left. Cheaper to get a pane of plexiglass or glass.

Would the plastic panel work for a coldframe? Wasn't sure if it would let the right frequencies of light through for plants....

I am not even sure there is a plastic panel in front of the LCD. Even the backlight might be glued to the LCD panel.

find the model number and search in youtube to see if someone teared it down.
