I would like to note that the AG is a lawyer and not a clinician. If I had to bet, I would expect clinicians to have the former interpretation and not the latter. Texas institutes a 6 week ban. They claim there are protections for the mother but fail to spell them out. Doctor's are left in limbo whether to treat women who need an abortion because they may lose their license. Women sue the state. State responds we refuse to clarify the law and doctors will just have to make the hard calls. Not only that the state says you have to sue your doctor before suing the state.
What kind of insanity is this? It's the M.O. of Republicans. Create vague laws and punish people using that vagary.
