Any thoughts on this,
don't worry blast away
I am building a new system and so far have decided on the Asus P5K Motherboard.
Specifications Here
and also have decided on the E6600 CPU
I downloaded the manual and in there it says;
"If you install four 1 GB memory modules, the system may only recognize less than 3GB because the address space is reserved for other critical functions. This limitation appears on Windows XP/Vista 32-bit operation system which does not support Physical Address Extension (PAE)."
"If you install Windows XP/Vista 32-bit operation system, a total memory of less then 3GB is recommended."
I was in the Hot Deal section and was considering this Deal listed.
It is SMART BUY 1GB PC2-5300 (DDR2-667) DIMM MEMORY
I wanted to get 4GB but after reading about the less then 3GB in the manual I am unsure.
So I thought I would check with you guys & gals first.
