Thanks Stefan! There certainly would not be enough at WCG for a competition. My impetus for crunching it so hard was the fact that some of my hosts started picking up GPU units where they hadn't been before, so naturally I began to exploit this, since my overall world standing in WCG is the lowest of any project I run except for F@H.

I was wondering. I was getting some of those also, but you must have started spamming them or something. I have 8 hosts all capable, and all asking for "update" 5 times a day, and you still have like 5 times my points !

@Markfw, are you requesting CPU work only at WCG, or GPU work too? I suppose WCG is queuing even less GPU work than CPU work, but it should give good PPD once one got some. Automatic switching between GPU work in BOINC versus FahClient won't work very well though.

...this is from two 128-threaded computers. I would need to keep this up for just 140 more weeks in order to catch up with the top-10 of our TeAm in MilkyWay. Or merely 452 weeks to catch up with the top-5. %-)

As for the TeAm rank, FreeDC's overtake estimator says we'd overtake Planet 3DNow in 41 weeks, at the rate at we and they are currently going. Though spring will arrive here in Germany much earlier than that, and my space heaters will be dialed down then.

It should, if "OpenPandemics - COVID-19" is among the projects which you enabled in your projects selection [My contribution -> Projects] *and* if graphics card usage is enabled in your device profile(s) [My contribution -> Projects page -> Device profiles link within the page — or — My contribution -> Devices on the side bar -> Device profiles], *and* if the client from which you issue a work request doesn't already have a full work buffer of other GPU projects.

Also, it's ages ago since I last mixed CPU work and GPU work in a single client, so I don't know if you can rely on the client to request GPU work if the GPU work buffer isn't full but the CPU work buffer is.

It should, if "OpenPandemics - COVID-19" is among the projects which you enabled in your projects selection [My contribution -> Projects] *and* if graphics card usage is enabled in your device profile(s) [My contribution -> Projects page -> Device profiles link within the page — or — My contribution -> Devices on the side bar -> Device profiles], *and* if the client from which you issue a work request doesn't already have a full work buffer of other GPU projects.

Also, it's ages ago since I last mixed CPU work and GPU work in a single client, so I don't know if you can rely on the client to request GPU work if the GPU work buffer isn't full but the CPU work buffer is.

Well, I have 7 computers on WCG, and all have GPU enabled. But see here , only 2 have GPU work.

I'm using Einstein set to 0 resource share as a fill in because many of my clients have long stretches without WCG GPU work.
